Crypto moves so fast that I’ve started noticing my opinions change way too easily. One week I’m convinced AI tokens are the next big thing, then BTC dumps and suddenly I’m defensive again, then alts run for 3 days and I feel underexposed everywhere.
At some point I realized most of my decisions were being shaped by whatever people on CT/reddit were excited about that week.
Think the constant noise kind of messed with my ability to build real conviction honestly. Would love to know how people here follow markets closely without getting emotionally pulled in every direction all the time."

Anecdotal evidence and yes, as long as L1 is not congested it works. That's why I said it doesn't scale, not it doesn't work. That's a big difference. If any decent amount of people want to open an LN channel the BTC network is clogged not for days or years, but for decades. This is how bad the bottleneck is.

I'm not anti Bitcoin, I'm anti BTC, because BTC is hijacked and only offers an illusion without a real solution. Maybe read Hijacking Bitcoin.

That's the other side of LN doesn't scale Bitcoin. Almost all services and wallets are custodial, because everything else broke down during past chain congestions. But that means you aren't even using Bitcoin, you use an IOU and you can't store value in an IOU.

my advice is to Instead of having 1 BTC, try to have 0.21 BTC.
This will give you a comfortable allocation.

had a piece run on InvestorIdeas this week laying out something that's been core to how I trade both markets for years now. gold and crypto get treated like completely separate worlds, different crowd, different news cycle, different everything on the surface. structurally though, they're not
reason is simple once you actually sit with it. any large position, a fund building into gold or a whale building into BTC, has the exact same problem to solve, get size in or out without your own buying giving away the intention and moving price against you before you're done. that constraint doesn't care what the ticker says. Wyckoff mapped this a century ago on stock tape and it hasn't aged because it was never really about stocks in the first place
structure tells you where that's likely happening. order flow, CVD specifically, tells you whether the move behind it is real or just absorption. same read, gold futures or a BTC perpetual, the instrument changes and the tell doesn't
