With the the recent $BTC correction, i have been thinking what to focus more on, i keep asking myself if its time to DCA or some of my holdings or just focus towards passive opportunities, the market is not favorable for active trading right now, so i am thinking of finding lower risk ways to stay engaged i think it worth considering.
I have had good experience with previous reward based events like Bitget's CandyBomb and PoolX by simply participating and result was not bad, now am seeing another opportunity with OLAXBT $AIO that is set to go live, so i am still thinking if this might be another chance for me looking at how stagnant the market is, atleast it might be another way for me to get something.
But above all that, which one is more strategic? DCA or taking the advantage of structured events that offer potentiality with minimal exposure? For me its about balancing both, and staying involved without unnecessary risk.

And then ignoring the prices when the ETH/BTC ratio was low.
Fantastic trading opportunity presented itself!

Damn I didn’t even mention BTC, did the BTC maxis hurt your feelings? If you have 2million to your name sure invest 100k in doge. If 100k is your life savings that would be the stupidest investment of all time

I'd full send and split that $1500 up into 3 different positions. SPYI, QQQI, and BTCI. Toss $500 in each. If you don't want to put 33% of those contributions into BTC exposure, then you could maybe do $625 each in SPYI/QQQI for a total of $1250 into those two funds, and then $250 into BTCI. I'd full send into these three. They've performed great since inception (it has been a bull market after all, so).
SPYI has the lowest dividend yield % of all three mentioned above. So we will underestimate the situation and use it as an example due to that. SPYI also has pretty much retained it's exact share price since inception, 3 years ago. It IPO'd at $50, and it's currently $50.20, so the share price stays pretty flat, we can take that into account as well, somewhat.

With SPYI current dividend yield of 12.24%, and you need to generate $12k annually, we will simply do $12,000 (desired annual dividend income) and divide that by 0.1224
12000 / 0.1224 = $98,039 <-- this is the amount of SPYI you would need to own for it to generate you $12k/yr. It has done great since inception 3 years ago, price has remained damn near flat (it fluctuates, but bounces back to flat usually) and it is the lowest paying dividend yield % out of the three I mentioned above. If you split your $1500/yr contributions amongst the 3 I listed above, and they continue performing as-is, then I would roughly estimate that you would only need $60-70k or so invested. That's a rough number off the top of my head, no calculations, and doesn't take into account whether you would equally invest into all 3 or invest more/less into certain ones, etc. But, if you did just do SPYI solely, you'll need around $98k in it at the moment. Split amongst all three I mentioned, full send, might only need $60k invested or so, if the market and these ETFs keeps doing whatever they're doing.

So glad I'm off that shitshow. It's still down massively against BTC. ETH/BTC is literally at the same price since **2016.**

So, the first problem was that I allegedly measured from peak to trough when in fact I did not. I did not compare anything to today's price which you defined as the trough. Your allegation was patently false.
Second problem is that I allegedly muddied the water by trying to correct for USD devaluation. Show me a better way, then. Or we can do this in a simple way to avoid "unnecessary complexity": there has been no ATH in the BTC/EUR market since January. True statement, no cherrypicking, no complexity. Where is the grind up, exactly?
Third problem is that I allegedly arbitrarily picked data. I did not arbitrarily pick data, the markets did. I went from ATH to ATH and mentioned a third ATH for good measure. If you disregard price action as a "false narrative", then there is not much more to discuss in a trading sub. Have a good day.

Yeah,I totally feel the same!Theres this weird energy around BTC right now-like the calm before the storm. You can really see the quiet accumulation and no real panic... something’s definitely brewing.🚀
Personally,I’m stacking and holding. Not really into short-term swings-I’d rather stay patient, its paid off before. Appreciate your post, you summed it up perfectly!

Just thinking long term: after all 21 million BTC are mined, there won’t be any new supply. So theoretically, scarcity could drive up value.
But what if demand fades? What if over time the market shifts to another coin or technology and BTC slowly loses relevance? BTC is the OG maybe that’s why is so valuable?

Yeah, the custodial part is the main reason I’ve held off so far. But it does sound reasonable as an alternative for testing or just sending small amounts, what about BTC fees? Is there any network choice?

Shouldn't be buying any btc right now. There's a clear pattern of three years of growth followed by a large crash. We're currently in the 3rd year of growth and heading towards the next crash.
Save money and buy when BTC crashes again, otherwise you're lost a bag holder.

I think you really need to educate yourself more on BTC because gold is worse as a store of value in almost every conceivable way.
They can always find more. If asteroid mining happens it'll destroy the value of gold. By comparison there will never be more than 21,000,000 btc.
Gold can be faked. If you buy bullion in a case (as is often the case) you can't test it without unsealing it.
Gold isn't secure. If someone can access the place yoy store it, they can take it. If someone has physical access to my wallet they can't access my btc without my pin.
Gold takes up a lot of space. The US needs a giant building to store its btc, but could store as much btc as they want on a hardware wallet.
Btc can be transferred anywhere almost instantly. It might take weeks to send gold somewhere and there's no assurance it won't get lost or stolen along the way.
Try bringing $100,000 worth of gold into the US without declaring it and see what happens. Try the same with btc and you'll have no issue.

Youre already holding really good projects, I would maybe look into chainlink as well.
I’m not too well learned on other alts to confidently give you an opinion, but I’ll share my thoughts on Cardano
ADA is about a 4-5x from here to the $3 ATH,
If the cycle pumps until the end of the year, a conservative estimate for ADA’s price would be like $2-3 dollars, which would put it around a $100billion market cap, giving you a 2-4x return.
$4-7 ADA is possible if everything goes right, ETF approvals, midnight air drop is successful, BTC defi liquidity inflows, rate cuts in effect. But I have a feeling if ADA gets to this point it will catch institutional attention and won’t stop there.
Worst case scenario, alt coin dominance bottoms out to btc, cardano has been holding a really strong support level around 50-60 cents and you’re down 30% until the next swing up, which is potentially a 4x on the realistic side. Not that bad of a risk to return ratio imo

A week is nothing, most people who've bought anything that isn't BTC or a select few alts have been in the red for years.
This run is acting strange, it's hard to know what'll swing things around for alts, if anything.
