I said BORING. I understand though I never got into magic the gathering but am into Yugioh an like to collect the cards. Tip, if you go on facebook you can get people wanting to clear out their stuff they no longer want. Sometimes you can get hundreds and even thousands of cards they have collected. Maybe you can try the same with Magic the gathering.

Nah, in my opinión the issue is different.
1st problem: (TOO EXPENSIVE CARS AND SUBSCRIPTION)
The first problem in Europe is not the manitenance locations or the showrooms. The problem in Europe is the price VS the competitors (and that it's even factoring NIO has no European "equal"). It's a HUGE pill to swallow to pay 80k to 130k for a car and still have a monthly subscription of 130 to 210 euros a month. In Europe we have an owner mentality, we do not like subscriptions very much, we are very conservative market.
2nd problem: (WRONG MARKETS ENTERED FIRST AND WITH THE WRONG SEGMENT OF CARS)
And then the second problem that is also important to mention it's NIO has begun their expansión on the markets that they cannot use 100% their MOAT. The NIO MOAT is battery swap, and they have entered markets like Norway, Sweden and so, on where a lot of population live in houses very spread through the territory where access to charging is very easy and sparse. NIO MOAT would have shined better in the south, in countries like Spain, Portugal, France and Italy, also where the "Small car culture" is huge. Because the first fail of NIO is to enter with the NIO Brand itself, when they should have begun with Firefly first, a chic snob urban car for the "urbanites" that love branding, iphones and social media wannabes.
For the me winner strategy is to deploy just a few swap stations on the south, and put a reasonable Price for their Firefly cars, like for example 17.000 to 19.000 euros WITHOUT the battery and then have two battery options like 42 Kwh and 63 Kwh.
The bass should be something in the ball-park of 40 - 50 euros a month for the 42 Kwh and 60 to 70 euros a month for the 63 Kwh.
Why?
Easy, in the south the population is dispersed more like in a Chinese city, people live in flats (very concentrated in cities), some do not have Access even to parking or garages with plugs. I would capture the minds of the "snob wealth urbanites" first, with accessories, fashion and life-style around the "Firefly", and also I would call the Brand "Firfly X NIO" (Fireby by NIO), like if were some kind fancy fashion apparel.
You can cover Portugal and Spain first with something like 15 to 20 Swaps stations, and then sell your cars on the capitals first. The same can be done with France and Italy.
In fact NIO should focus on selling "trans-country" trips with cute small cars, this breaks two myths:
1.-) Smalls cars have small range. (NIO has swapping)
2.-) You have to choose big cars to travel. (Firefly is the smallest car with the best trunk+frunk space)
3.-) Car culture and scene in the EV segment is BORING. (Firefly is a young brand that can organize meetings with users, concerts, camping sites...etc,etc)
