Tether is doubling down on stupidity with its modular Bitcoin mining systems.
Bankless asked Paolo why Tether is not staking Ethereum or Tron, since those are the platforms its product actually runs on. He claimed they did not want to show favoritism. But supporting Bitcoin mining is also playing favorites - just in favor of Bitcoin.
Hopefully this Bitcoin mining venture goes nowhere. It is honestly hilarious watching them stubbornly cling to a primitive, energy-intensive PoW system.
