Why wouldn't it be easier to just hold BCH?

>Man aren't you just a special kind of stupid&smug.
>BCH 3 seconds with almost zero chance for a double spend (every day purchasing values). With double spend proof even saver than it ever was on BTC. I'm done with you, you lost your next chance. Good day.
"Almost zero" is not good enough for a global payments system.

This work was literally done by devs in 2018 yet still you cling to the BTC Maxi talking points? I guess censorship works. But just a simple google search like "BCH stress tests" will get you plenty of results. You can criticize the tests to the devs who did them, and they'll put every single one of your arguments into the ground instantly, because all of them have been 110% debunked over the past 7 years.

I agree but I have not heard of any successful double spend on BCH. If you have a source please share.
In fact I have seen a clip of Sergej Kotliar stating that they made millions of zero conf transactions with maybe 1 double spend and that's even on BTC (before RBF or mandatory RBF).

BCH is simply a working version of BTC. It can be used as cash and is secured by the strongest computer network in the world the Bitcoin miners. It's got a lot of innovation like defi and cash tokens. It's got optional privacy. Constantly under 1 cent fees. While BTC ers were driving lambos, BCH camp kept building throughout those years . It's ready for the world and the price will have to follow!

The Bitcoincash Community needs a fundraiser to pay influencers to promote BCH, simple. If you believe BCH is the P2P etc that it is absolutely the right thing to do pump BCH, Price going up brings more attention, equals more usage etc.

Yeah, finding a good P2P platform for BCH can be tricky these days. LocalBitcoins shutting down left a gap, and not every remaining option supports BCH with solid liquidity. What I’ve seen people do is use non-custodial swap tools or aggregators that let you go from stablecoins or BTC directly into BCH, that way you skip the sketchier P2P side altogether.
If you’re set on P2P, check regional Telegram groups or communities, but always use escrow and small test trades first, scams are way too common.
If you’re exploring other non-custodial ways to swap into BCH, the Rubic subreddit has some useful posts about Rubic.Exchange and how it handles cross-chain swaps without needing centralized custody or KYC.

As everyone knows zcash has been on a tear recently. I’m kicking myself because I came to the conclusion last year that proof of work coins are the essentially the only crypto that will stand the test of time. I bought LTC, BCH, BTC, DOGE. The only proof of work coin I avoided that was available on major exchanges was zcash. Oh well, can’t reverse the clocks.
Moving forward, I think this zcash pump will bring attention to what’s truly important in crypto - solid money.
In order to be solid money, privacy is a big factor. Zcash does a very good job at thia with zero knowledge proofs. The only other proof of work coin that achieves this is Litecoin with its recent MWEB layer.
Curious, do you guys think that Litecoin will have long term success due to these factors? It checks all the same boxes as zcash but has more hashpower, an active leader in Charlie Lee and much more usage.
Would love to hear your thoughts about any other proof of work privacy coins.

Not a stupid question at all, it's actually the right one.
There is **no "house edge".** There's also **no shared pool** here. This is **real rented ASIC hash power pointed at the BCH network**, and payouts (if a block hits) go **directly to the miner's own wallet** from the pool/network.
If everyone using the same package were combined into one pool and shared profits, the result would be roughly **break-even minus pool/rental fees,** exactly as with *any* real mining operation. So yes, the *expected value* is close to neutral in the long run.
The difference here is simply **variance**:
* **Pool mining** = smooth, predictable, low volatility, small payouts.
* **Solo mining** = high variance, **sometimes zero**, sometimes a **block payout**.
It's **not gambling against a house**, because:
* We **don't keep un-hit rewards**.
* We **don't pay out wins**.
* We **don't receive block rewards**.
* We **don't control outcomes**.
We just provide **access to hash power** most people can't run at home.
And yes, you're correct in your edit:
>
Mining is **probabilistic**, **not guaranteed profit**.
What people are paying for is:
* Access to **hash power without owning ASICs.**
* **A chance** to hit a block.
* **Convenience** (click -> mine, no hardware, no maintenance)
Nothing is promised. No multipliers. No house payouts. No "cloud mining" tricks. Just **real PoW + real luck**.
If someone wants **zero variance**, they should pool mine. If someone wants **a shot at a block**, they solo mine.

Nothing really. Everything else is far behind. LTC, Dash, Zcash, BCH, etc. etc. are largely just forks of BTC with marginal improvements. They fundamentally cannot scale in the way that KAS can. Zcash has privacy stuff going on so that's cool but it'll always be a niche thing

A **BCH Hammer** package is about **0.0001 BTC (\~$10.14) for 3 hours**. One of them hit a block in roughly **30 minutes,** but that's purely **luck**.
Solo mining is **probabilistic**:
* You can run **one** and get lucky.
* You can run **one hundred** and get nothing.
Nothing is ever guaranteed. It's the nature of mining, timing + probability. If you try, there's always a chance. If you don't, then there's **zero** chance.
Just keep expectations realistic, mining isn't a "get rich quick" thing. It's taking a swing and seeing what happens.
