I've been involved with crypto since 2019, and only really started investing in 2020-2021. Even back then, it felt like I read some big news about Cardano every week… and nothing's happened since. I reliably hold onto my 12,000 ADA, but otherwise, I'm staying away. It's always a lot of talk about nothing, new updates here, implementations there, new partners, and so on… where's the success?

Got into the coins mid 2025. Cost averaging. Betting on ADA, BTC, ETH, PAXG, SOL, XAUT, XAUT, XLM, XRP some PDAX Gold.

Bought a bit more during the "crash" last week.
Now I took a breather. Waiting. Loading up. Looking for the proper time to buy more.
I plan to have 10% of my entire investment portfolio in crypto by next year.

With all that is happening in the world, I don't think that crypto will "zero".
I could be wrong.

There's been a lot of focus on individual pieces (USDCx, Leios, L2s), but let's talk about how they're all converging at once.
**What's Actually Shipping:**
**Stablecoins:**
* USDCx coming to Midnight (privacy-enabled)
* USDM already live (overcollateralized, transparent)
* fGLD live (first fungible RWA)
**Scaling:**
* Leios upgrade (30-50x throughput on L1, Aiming for 10.000 TPS)
* Midgard L2 (shared execution layer, sub-3s blocks)
* Hydra (optimized for speed and low latency)
**Infrastructure:**
* Professional market-making tools going live (Surge)
* Cross-DEX execution becoming viable
* Automated liquidity management
For years, Cardano's critique was "ghost chain" - solid tech, no activity. The missing piece wasn't technology, it was **professional liquidity infrastructure**.
Projects couldn't compete because:
* No stablecoin liquidity
* Limited throughput
* Amateur market-making
* No professional tooling
That gap is closing and it's closing fast.
**The Sleeper Angle:**
USDC coming to Cardano puts competitive pressure on Tether.
Will USDT watch USDC dominate Cardano's stablecoin market, or will they enter to compete? Competition drives adoption. More stablecoin options = deeper liquidity = more DeFi activity.
Same logic applies to other chains watching Cardano's infrastructure mature. Nobody wants to be left out when things start moving.
**Real-World Assets:**
fGLD is live. Tokenized gold, liquid, tradeable, decoupled from ADA volatility. If this works (professional liquidity + institutional interest), more RWAs follow.
The template is being built right now.
**Our Honest Take:**
This doesn't guarantee success. Infrastructure alone doesn't create adoption, you need users, capital, and applications people actually want.
But for the first time in Cardano's history, the **infrastructure gap is closing**. Projects can finally compete on execution, not just promise.
Leios + stablecoins + L2s + professional tooling = the stack institutional DeFi actually requires.
**2026 is going to be interesting.**
What pieces are you most excited about? Where do you still see gaps?

Sorry to hear you have this experience.
You may want to consider if selling ADA and LINK and reinvesting in ETH could be a good idea. There’s a good chance they won’t recover even when ETH and BTC recover.
I also wouldn’t add more to loosing positions, but I just never DCA, I would wait for trend reversal if I want to add more. And I’d also rather diversify to some other asset class.
Looking forward, you need to learn using Stop Loss and basics of technical analysis to become better at managing your investments.

Most projects are down massively, don't forget the crypto market is the most heavily manipulated financial market out there, and the fact Cardano has been as resilient over the last 8 years or so would indicate its far from dead..
So if i was I'd hold on to what you have instead of panic selling and wait for the next Altcoin bullrun when ever that is, VET is another one in the same boat as ADA, good fundamentals and real world use case but is suffering due to market manipulation and being overlooked
