> As I said, this statement of yours implies they only sell "ultra pure silver"
The Shanghai Silver Benchmark consists of SHAG(spot price) and SHFE(futures). The Shanghai Silver Benchmark is for ultra pure, 9999, silver.
"Alongside SHAG, the Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE) lists IC-**Ag99.99 silver** futures, which are widely used by Chinese producers, fabricators, refiners, and institutional traders."

This is common knowledge. As was brought up in a recent thread in this very sub about Shanghai silver.
"Shanghai Silver is refined to 4 9's, **99.99% purity**. It's traded in 15 kilogram bars. Most of it is used for industrial uses, so they can't accept dirty Silver."

Here, when you ask google what the Shanghai Silver Benchmark is. This is what it says.
"The Shanghai Gold Exchange's (SGE) benchmark price for silver is based on a **minimum purity of 99.99%** (\(Ag99.99\)). These are standard silver ingots, typically traded in 15-kilogram units. While some industrial, lower-grade, or antique Chinese silver may vary, the official, high-quality, traded **benchmark requires at least 99.99% purity**. "
