Yep LBO = you acquire a company not by spending your own cash (ie GameStop's cash), but by increasing company's debt.
Basically you're using the company's money to acquire it instead of your cash.

Or an LBO - leveraged buy out.

LBO it's how many (if not most) businesses are purchased

The financials doesn't make sense. either GameStop have to dilute and do a share purchase, which means eBay shareholders will own GameStop and the board of eBay will be majority (even if RC is on the board) and RCEO will lose control or even with LBO (unlikely) it will have to do it with another firm which again it will lose control as the firm putting up the majority of cash will own it with GME being minority holder. it just doesn't make sense for RCEO to work this hard to just give it away JUST as company is starting to look healthy

I always love how they think "reverse merger" is a type of transaction like a LBO, it's just a legal method of papering over the acquisition, and only really matters vs other forms (stock purchase, forward merger, etc.) for purposes of tax impact.
He gave three paths, reverse merger, LBO, or hostile takeover--but those three are not at all seperate, they could all describe the same deal, they just throw jargon at the wall.

We might have an Ebay buyout, PSA buyout, or LBO of EBay together with PSA somehow, no idea how it will go

Leverage buyout (LBO)

Ever heard of a LBO (Leveraged Buyout). Combine this with everything else Cohen has put in place: 450 mil more authorized shares (I think that's what's left) which he will most likely issue during a squeeze in batches to prevent 1) systematic failure 2) stock price from crashing to nothing, they will have be good to go. Ebay also very easy free cash flow which banks will absolutely let them easily borrow against.

I had the same thought earlier but didn’t consider a LBO

I am all for buying a profiting cash cow with borrowed money if the cash cow for whatever reason just hasn’t been milked properly and can yield more milk immediately
I have no idea how an expert asset allocation manager or a good investor/CEO would manage an LBO and debt that big but I trust the man in charge
