Encountered almost the same looking for an apartment for subleasing… I posted on FB group, and this person chatted me. Kala ko naman siya may hawak ng unit, until pinasa nya ako sa iba na attorney in fact. Now nagclose deal na kami ng AIF, super bilis ng turnover and all kaya naging busy.
Then this “agent”, suddenly started calling me out of the blue the same day na nagtuturnover kami at nagaasikaso ng permits. I chatted asking bakit, at nasa labas pa ako. Biglang nagmamaktol siya saying na hindi daw ako nagsabi na closed deal na kami ng nirefer nya? I talked to the AIF and sabi nya maguusap naman daw sila so I told him, siya kakausap sayo.
The next day 10AM, tawag na naman siya. Nagulat ako “Ayan kaya dapat sinasabihan nyo ang mga agent niyo kasi di nyo naman alam mga patakaran sa condo”. TEH????? Ano ba? Hindi ko alam bat ganyan when in fact sinagot ko lang tawag niya. Tas nagrarant na siya about sa commission. Sabi ko gusto nya ba imessage ko yung AIF? Biglang ayaw naman nya.

Well good luck getting your money back from Craigslist or FB when the seller fleeces you.
On eBay you can avoid sellers with no/minimal feedback and stick to those who have a positive reputation. And generally eBay will always have your back as a buyer. He got his money back except for a few cents for taxes which I'm sure he could dispute with his credit card company to get back if he wants.

Do you have any productivity uses or is it only for purchasing items from FB?

Skill issue. I have mine set up to search FB Marketplace every 2 hours for Mac Studios and only alert me if one pops up under the median price of "sold" listings for that spec on eBay.
Similar alert set up for C7 Corvettes.
Also have it do random tasks for me like keep tabs on jobs that would be a salary bump and apply to them.
Super useful, most people are just too retarded to figure out how to use them effectively.

Hmm, the bigger issue there to me is the potential for these DC's to be monitoring transactions being processed by FB influencers or FB Marketplace. There is some e-commerce there that may not be tracked well. Makes me wonder if Only Fans revenues are being tracked or are those considered tips?

I use a telegram channel where people buy sell pets. I just advertise there. Where I'm from we also have socials that focus on selling your own used stuff, just like FB marketplace.

Dunno, it's just my speculation. Since OP can sell a small amount, I tried searching for the same problem and saw on FB groups that they encountered it too

Level Of experience I've just been lucky. I’ve been working with my JPM Financial advisor for almost 25 years, never payed a dime. I’ve used his advice to buy and sell stocks before, so I’m comfortable with him. I’m most concerned about paying taxes. I bought JPM in the $40s back in 2008, and I now have a little over 1000 shares. I just turned off the dividend Drip on it, FB opening day at $19. Uber @ 20ish. and so many more The thing is, I’ve been buying stocks but never sell them. It’s not a bad thing, but selling will push me into a higher tax bracket, between 32% and 37%. My plan is to sell some in 2026 and some in January 2027, and get into a fixed income portfolio and just keep letting it grow to pass on to the kids.

There are far more companies that don't do that sort of thing. Company names and brands have cachet. FB is still the company's flagship product. The Metaverse has been abandoned. Following your logic, they shouldn't call themselves meta anymore.

I work in quant and previously worked at both FB and G and don't think I ever worked more than 40 hours a week consistently, occasional busy week or oncall issue might cause a 50 hour week but that's it. The only people who think quant automatically means long hours have probably only worked at less competitive places. I've worked at quant firms before where the office was completely dead by 5pm on the dot.
That being said, both of these industries tend to hire the kind of people that will try to be successful no matter the cost, and get caught in the trap of working longer hours to keep up. If you got a return offer at G without working too hard you should be fine in either case.
