To answer your specific questions:

\-How many ETFs should a beginner realistically hold?
Hold as few as you can to meet your objectives. If your exact investment strategy could be implemented with a single ETF, then you'd only hold one ETF. You hold multiple because of particular things you can't find in existing ETFs.
\-Is something like MSCI World enough on its own?
It can be. The things you'd be missing would be: emerging markets, bonds, and commodity exposure. If you don't care about those, and don't aim to change the balance of investments among the holdings that MSCI world does hold, then you'd be fine. Personally I do care about adjusting some other factors, and I do care about EM, bonds, and commodities.
If you want all equities, you could use something like \[VT\](https://agentictribune.com/entity/vanguard-total-world-stock-index?symbol=NYSEARCA%3AVT) instead.
Or you could also do the MSCI world index but explicitly add something for EM. EM is often less "market efficient" than developed markets, so I do sometimes prefer active EM funds. I like \[GQGPX\](http://agentictribune.com/entity/gqgpx) and \[EYLD\](https://agentictribune.com/entity/cambria-emerging-shareholder-yield?symbol=CBOE%3AEYLD)
If you want bonds, you could add something like \[BND\](https://agentictribune.com/entity/vanguard-total-bond-market?symbol=NASDAQ%3ABND) or \[DODLX\](https://agentictribune.com/entity/dodlx?symbol=DODLX).
If you want commodity exposure, you could add something like \[PDBC\](https://agentictribune.com/entity/invesco-optimum-yield-diversified-commodity-strategy-no-k-1?symbol=NASDAQ%3APDBC)
\-Accumulating vs distributing ETFs?
Personally, I'm not a fan of accumulating ETFs. at some point you'll want income without selling, so will probably want a distributing ETF. If you sell your holdings 30 years from now at 8x the current price, you'll pay a capital gain tax on realized gains. I'd rather just go with distributing from the start, and reinvest deliberately. The efficiency here is really about your personal tax situation though, and how much attention you'll pay to your cash balances. If you really think you'll park money and ignore the account for the next 30 years, automatic reinvestment can be better for you. It's probably more psychological than financial.
\-How important is hedging for someone investing in euros?
My personal view is that this is hedging currency exposure is a bit silly. If a US company sells in europe, it has exposure to EU revenue, and then converts that revenue to USD and reports in USD. If the USD strengthens or weakens, the extent to which that EUR revenue contributes will still be the same in EUR terms. If you hedge the USD "exposure," IMO it's really jsut a bet on currency. I think this is unnecessarily active.
\-Is lump sum usually better than DCA psychologically and statistically?
Statistically, lump sum is better. Psychologically, DCA is better.
\-Which mistakes do beginners make most often?
Overweighting their own local market, especially the US, via ETFs like SPY or VTI. It sounds like you're not making that mistake.
