Your plan is great. You can add emerging markets to your Roth IRA if you want to. You could look at your overall portfolio balance between your 401k and your Roth IRA and make it your goal to have 5 - 10% of that number in emerging markets in your Roth IRA.
The funds I would be looking at for emerging markets are FNDE, AVEM, FEMR, and EMGF.
Keep in mind that EM tend to have high expense ratios, as they are considered expensive to research and manage. If you really want a low expense EM fund, you could look at VWO, SPEM, IEMG, or FPADX (if you are at Fidelity). Of the low cost funds I would probably pick IEMG.
