Payday has come at the perfect time and we are chomping at Tomorrow Morning, where are we allocating at opening??
Im adding to NU, Sandisk and the big 3 DRAM, i think the sell off has been way over the top particulary for these sectors, insane growth in all companies with no real sign of slowing, just jitters leading to a no brainer at these prices.

DRAM is the most obvious winner nowadays ppl will see it soon.

HBM and DRAM won't be cheaper for the average consumer again if that's what you're getting at.

oh, please. like he'd be happy about Anthropic cutting openAI out of a DRAM supply deal because then it's still being "efficiently utilized". Of course he wants his company to own as much as possible.

look, you should be grateful, you're using precious electricity that could be powering a new datacenter
Every day, a Sam Altman starves of DRAM and Electricity because you have the privilege to pay out the ass for it in his place.

lol you’re totally fucked on all of these. DRAM might work out but probably not. You left no time for any of this to play out

Don't these clowns just buy all the DRAM that they can't even use? 5% is better than 0% IMO. Dudes just mad everyone in AI is doing what hes doing which is buying every shred of DRAM on the planet raising the costs for his poorly optimized product that can't turn a dollar.

Oh yeah my triple DRAM can atest to that.

Yea it's probably going to get nationalized at a certain point.
It would be nice if the US would break up the DRAM cartel again by leveraging it's market power, just threaten them with the FTC like orange man has been doing to his enemies.
And force them to build a REAL fab in the US(not an advanced packing facility), and train US workers.

I’m heavily invested in DRAM names , an I to am feeling disappointed to say the least . But let’s ask ourselves , where will your holding be in say 10 years ? Up or down ? I think at least double , this has helped me calm down a bit .

looking at the DRAM chart does it for me

Lehman Brothers, a bank with 158 years of history, went bankrupt and nearly took the whole world with it. But you didn't know about it, how could you really - it was 2008, when dinosaurs still roamed the land. How that happened, I leave to you, Emilio, to ask your favourite AI bot. But I will tell you why it happened, as it applies to all your mentioned companies: valuation of their assets approached that of their debts, and that is instant bankruptcy filing. Fed could save a megabank, but didn't. No one can save an entire sector with $trillions in unpayable junk debt at high interest rate. Oh, you forgot OpenAI, which contracted \~40% of total DRAM production, while having \~$50b annualised revenue, \~$278b cash burn, and \~$665b+ in total liabilities. Guess what will happen to their contractual responsibilities when they are cut off from the infinite money hose? Same as what happened to Lehman: Chapter 11 and liquidation. Same applies to any company that ran out of other people's money.

Scam Altman needs your money to buy DRAM that you don't need.

Hold the DRAM and the IREN. Get rid of IREN as soon as you breakeven or get profit. There's a chance neoclouds can come back but they're the most exposed to the growing circular AI debt. If the AI trade does bounce, memory is the king. There is no AI trade without memory and NVDA. Don't know the rest of these names

Bruhs I'm going to start a tech company and it's mission is to make electricity and DRAM

\> From a global allocation perspective, actually, it's quite terrible to have everybody have a bunch of the world's limited supply of DRAM sitting in their own computer, and being used maybe 5% of the time.
Well if we saw AI being used for something valuable, like curing cancer or something, I would be happy to join a citizen scientist program and lend my PC for free.
But all I see about AI is job loss and disinfo in google AI summaries.

Over the expected lifespan of that hardware you buy, including upfront costs and electricity costs, you will absolutely spend less on local inference than you would have for equal access to that same compute in a cloud service. While economies of scale could theoretically support lower pricing through the cloud, the realities of DRAM manufacturing and energy production don't actually support that.
That's also not even the claim he's making. He's saying it's a poor utilization of resources across the market as a whole, which is even MORE false because it fails to account for the relationship between hardware utilization and failure rates. Hardware used at 5% capacity won't just tend to last 20x as long as hardware used at 100% capacity, but well more than that. Not to mention that the interior of data centers are miserably hot (much warmer than the interior of a home PC or home mini server rack), and that heat contributes to even faster hardware failure.
Not to mention the significance of local systems from a security and privacy perspective.

Hold DRAM. And never pick stocks again. Stick to VT/VTI/VOO. If you find yourself itching for a cheap thrill, put 5-10% in SPMO.

I was a buyer on Friday focused on NVDA, GOOG, AMZN, ABBV, SNDK, XLG, QQQ, SMH and DRAM. The majority of the $ went to the ETF’s.

AAPL’s been acting like a safe haven from every AI and AI adjacent stock, and commands a 40 p/e which is insane for its level of growth. There’s obvious margin pressure going on due to NAND and DRAM prices going vertical, and their price increases have obv decreased demand too. There’s also a lack of innovation going on, and people aren’t buying newer models, hell I wasn’t even aware the IPhone 18 had been released, and practically no one I know or see has bought it. Honestly they might beat revenue for this quarter but their guidance for December will disappoint.
