GE Vernova Q2 Expectations
GE Vernova T&D India will be in focus ahead of its Q2 FY27 result, to be announced on 30th October as investors track growth in its power transmission business and the progress of a major export opportunity linked to a US data centre project. Motilal Oswal expects the company to report strong year-on-year growth in revenue, EBITDA and net profit.
According to the brokerage’s estimates, revenue could rise 28.6 percent year on year to Rs 1,978.5 crore, compared with Rs 1,538.5 crore in Q2 FY26. This would also represent a 7.8 percent increase from Rs 1,836.1 crore in Q1 FY27.
Profit and Margins Expected to Improve
Motilal Oswal expects EBITDA to increase 37.2 percent year on year to Rs 544.1 crore, against Rs 396.5 crore a year ago. Compared with the previous quarter’s Rs 460.8 crore, EBITDA is estimated to rise 18.1 percent.
The brokerage expects the EBITDA margin to improve to 27.5 percent from 25.8 percent in Q2 FY26 and 25.1 percent in Q1 FY27. Net profit is estimated at Rs 410 crore, up 36.9 percent year on year from Rs 299.5 crore and 13 percent quarter on quarter from Rs 363 crore.
These are brokerage estimates, not reported results. Investors will look at actual performance against these forecasts, particularly whether the company can sustain its margins as it executes orders.
Why the US Data Centre Order Matters
One of the key developments to watch is a potential export order worth around Rs 1,300 crore linked to a US data centre project. Data centres require reliable power infrastructure to support servers and computing systems. GE Vernova T&D India supplies equipment used in electricity transmission and management, making such projects a potential source of business.

However, the order has not yet been booked. During its Q1 FY27 earnings call, management said discussions between group entities and the end customer were continuing, with a decision expected in Q2 or Q3 FY27. A change in the project’s location meant the power solution had to be reworked.
Motilal Oswal said delays in finalising export orders related to the US data centre project had weighed on Q1 order inflows. It expected export orders worth around Rs 1,300 crore to materialise over the following one to two quarters. If the order is finalised, it could support future order inflows and revenue visibility. However, investors should not assume that the entire order value will be recognised as revenue in one quarter.
Order Inflows Remain a Key Monitorable
GE Vernova T&D India’s order bookings fell 30 percent year on year to Rs 1,140 crore in Q1 FY27, according to the company’s results. Despite this, its order backlog stood at around Rs 20,800 crore at the end of June 2026, up 60 percent year on year. This backlog provides visibility for future execution, although fresh orders remain important for sustaining growth.
Motilal Oswal expects domestic ordering activity to improve from Q2 and Q3 FY27, supported by a strong pipeline of transmission projects. Investors will therefore monitor fresh order wins, progress on the US data centre opportunity and the company’s ability to maintain margins.

The key question is whether strong financial growth will be accompanied by a recovery in order inflows. The US project could be an important catalyst, but until it is formally secured, it remains a potential opportunity rather than confirmed business.
