Nearly every major economy has produced a dollar-store champion, from Dollarama in Canada to Dollar General and Dollar Tree in the United States, Daiso in Japan and Poundland in the United Kingdom. Mexico is the next market in line, with 133 million people and fewer than 100 true dollar stores today.
