European ETF Market Wrap: Flows, Performance and Leaders | Week 38, 2026

Here’s a recap of European ETF action between September 14 and September 18, from our data partners, Trackinsight, highlighting how capital moved and performance varied across asset classes, regions, and themes.



According to data by  Trackinsight , European-listed ETFs and ETPs recorded mixed flows across the major asset classes. Equity products led with €3.55 billion in net inflows , followed by fixed income with €2.14 billion and commodities with €546.6 million . Cryptocurrency products recorded €89.6 million in net outflows , while multi-asset ETFs added €3.3 million.



Materials and Health Care Lead Sector ETF Inflows



Materials ETFs led sector flows with €179.0 million of inflows , followed by Health Care at €143.2 million, Energy at €51.8 million and Information Technology at €34.0 million. Financials recorded the largest sector outflow at €723.5 million , followed by Industrials at €122.8 million and Consumer Staples at €59.8 million.



Health Care Leads Sector Performance



Health Care was among the strongest-performing sectors with a 2.79% gain , while Information Technology advanced 1.99%. Financials declined 1.98% .



World and Developed Markets Lead Geographic Inflows



World equity ETFs attracted €1.46 billion , followed by Developed Markets with €1.25 billion . UK-focused products gathered €323.9 million, Eurozone ETFs added €230.5 million and Switzerland attracted €210.5 million.



Europe recorded the largest geographic outflow at €405.3 million , followed by U.S.-focused ETFs at €195.7 million and China at €130.0 million.



Taiwan Leads Geographic Performance



Taiwan led geographic performance with a 3.06% gain .



Net Zero and Cybersecurity Lead Thematic ETF Flows



Net Zero 2050 attracted €529.4 million , followed by Cybersecurity at €155.9 million and Global Infrastructure at €76.4 million. BioTech & Genomics gathered €47.2 million.



Cryptocurrency themes recorded the largest highlighted thematic outflow at €85.4 million , followed by China Disruptive Technology at €37.6 million and Water at €35.5 million.



BioTech & Genomics led thematic performance with a 9.88% gain , while Cybersecurity advanced 7.00%.



Government Bonds Lead Fixed Income Inflows



Government Investment Grade ETFs led fixed income flows with €1.48 billion , followed by Corporate Investment Grade at €517.3 million and Aggregate Investment Grade at €120.8 million. Corporate High Yield products recorded €74.5 million in outflows .



Gold Dominates Commodity ETP Flows



Gold attracted €944.1 million , followed by Multi Commodities with €134.6 million. Cotton added €48.1 million and Wheat €16.2 million.



Crude Oil recorded the largest commodity outflow at €573.5 million , while Copper products lost €80.4 million.



Bitcoin Leads Cryptocurrency ETP Outflows



Near attracted €6.9 million , while XRP and Arbitrum each gathered around €1 million. Bitcoin recorded the largest cryptocurrency outflow at €60.9 million , followed by Ether at €35.0 million.
