This is a Fidelity ATP feature but may translate to any trading program that allows same-chart comparisons. This works best with line chart selected.
Previously discovered I could comparison chart an option and its underlying to study that relationship in the visual sense instead of just Greeks. Very useful and clearly shows the hv / iv relationship. The option symbol must start with a “-“ to be recognized (example: -BOX240621P25).
Discovered today the same feature will allow the comparison of an equity with a futures symbol. The symbol entry must start with a “.” to be recognized.
The following are S&P500 futures symbols as listed on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME).
.GSPA: Healthcare sector
.GSPD: Consumer Discretionary Sector
.GSPE: Energy Sector
.GSPF: Financials Sector
.GSPI: Industrials Sector
.GSPL: Consumer Services Sector
.GSPM: Materials Sector
.GSPS: Consumer Staples Sector
.GSPT: Information Technology Sector
.GSPU: Utilities Sector

The futures market is vast, and I’m inexperienced there. The current goal is to identify benchmark futures symbols that correlate to equity sectors, and to include these in sector watchlists. My metric so far is .GSPE compared to SHEL (oil), and that’s it.
This could take some time. Suggestions are welcome.
