I had picked ROX for the Roth IRA and FXIAX for the personal brokerage but am still absolutely trying to learn the maximum benefits. Considering their holdings have overlap I’ve understood it’s not as diverse having both of these. I’m trying to learn now!
Personally don’t enjoy volatile times but am largely tolerant to it. This money isn’t required. I’m using it to compliment my retirement ideally.

That’s a good simple setup. AIX and ROX perform almost identically just like VOO and VTI so I’m not sure owning both really diversifies the performance. I had a similar setup in my 401k then just stopped investing new money into VTI.
The only suggestion I’ll make is to switch to the equivalent ETF of the mutual funds you selected since the cost of ETFs are cheaper. And maybe consider allocating 5-10% to a growth focused ETF like VUG or VGT to boost performance. You’re young and have the time until retirement to weather volatility - if your personal risk tolerance can handle the volatility…
