I would choose, and have chosen XLEI and XLBI. The former is an income oriented covered call energy etf, and the latter is an S & P materials sector income oriented covered call etf.
I believe both energy and materials are better sectors to be currently, and wish to limit exposure to tech...which is overdue for a trip to the woodshed given rising bond yields.

XLEI is a covered call fund based on energy companies. The yield is currently 19.15%. XLBI is a covered call fund based on basic materials, the yield there is 16.06%. I'm also stacking shares of GBUG, which is an actively managed gold mining company etf. SILJ is a junior silver mining company etf. SBSW(Sibanye Stillwater), is a South African diversified platinum mining company.

I prefer covered call income funds in sectors I choose and re-weight on a monthly basis. Currently I favor XLEI(energy), XLBI(materials), and XLVI(health care). I will be looking to scale into XLUI(utilities) as they bottom out from the carnage caused by the interest rate increases of the past several years.

In a word...commodity...uh producers. Okay that's two words. lol
I like basic materials overall, but specifically precious metals and energy. For energy and basic materials I'm into high yielding income covered call funds(XLBI & XLEI). For PMs I'm into SILJ, a junior silver mining ETF, and GBUG...which is a Sprott actively managed gold mining fund. I also have equity positions in ASM(Avino silver and gold), SBSW(Sibanye Stillwater) which is a diversified South Africa based platinum producer, as well as BTE. Baytex is a small-ish Canadian sour crude producer.
