If you NEED the money in the next five years, you should not invest in the market. Put it in a HYSA or MMF. You’ll make around 4%, depending. You’ll make more in the market, but there you are subject to fluctuations, and if it’s down when you need it, then you are going to lose money.

Well that's the correct outlook for gold, it's a store of value to hedge against the rampant inflation we are experiencing and will continue to experience. Right now and basically as far as the ete can see, the feds need ibfkation to ramin higher than the federal interest rate in order to reduce the real value of the national debt without actually paying it down. But other sectors NEED to outperform inflation as well.

NFA/DYOR/etc but If you ***NEED*** $125k in a year you should consolidate most this shit into VOO & SWVXX (depending on tax situation) and split new cash between them

Here’s what current pricing looks like in the U.S.:
Typical Heinz ketchup retail prices:
Small/standard bottles (like 14 oz) are usually around ~$2.50–$4.50 at big retailers like Walmart or restaurant supply stores.
Walmart.com +1
Mid-size bottles (20 oz, 32 oz) are typically $3–$5 or so.
Walmart.com
A value-size 64 oz bottle can be around $7.36 (sale price).
Walmart.com
Some larger or specialty bottles (like a 750 mL imported variant) are priced higher at certain online sellers (e.g., ~$8+ or ~$21+), but that isn’t standard US grocery pricing.
Walmart.com
There are individual listings (like at some small markets, convenience stores, or delivery services) where you might see a 31 oz bottle priced at about $7.49 — but that’s a specific listing price at one store, not a nationwide “standard price.”
delivery.spring-market.com
👉 Summary: No typical Heinz ketchup bottle is generally priced at $7.45 across the U.S. Standard retail prices are usually lower, though some larger or specialty bottles can exceed that in certain stores or online.
MORAL OF THE STORY IS EITHER YOU NEED TO FIND A NEW PLACE TO SHOP OR YOU ARE FULL OF SHIT AND THIS WAS POSTED WITH AN AGENDA.

You already have a plan for it. HYSA! Let it sit and gain some interest and then spend on what you are planning. No need to risk it if you have a plan for it already. Imagine putting into something and then the stock market tanks! Be smart not risky when you already have a plan for the money. Investing is for money you DONT NEED IN THE NEXT 5-10 years

I've tried explaining this to people but it falls on deaf ears.
The higher the price, the more people wanting to sell.
Say normally across the US (just using this as an example) people turn in for scrap a million ounces a month.
Now silver hits $75, and every Tom Dick and Harry wants to sell. Antique stores get raided for silver, every thrift store has a dozen people looking for it.
Now people across the US have 100 million ounces they want to sell, the only issue is the "big users" of silver, the EV Industry, the Solar Panel Industry, the Electronics industry, etc do not NEED that much silver.
So the refineries pay out for a bit, but then they don't have any more orders coming in.
So the refineries pause buying, the coin and bullion stores pause buying too.

MY point is if they NEED to use Nvidia it's already a done deal.
The point of your post boils down to the name on the issuing purchase order has changed. huge
