The never bet against the USA thing held true because they'd just increase production while paying the laborers less and less (disguised by planned inflation). All pretty basic stuff.
Now, when that started not working we got NAFTA, and mass outsourcing hit like a tsunami (outsourcing that was a masterstroke from China I might add). So what do you do when there's nothing left to outsource? There's less and less places turning a blind eye to the inhumanities of sweet shops and labor exploitation? What do you do when the US is not only failing to create new jobs but their population is on the decline and wealth inequality begins to resemble the countries US companies were outsourcing to 30 years ago? When they don't even have the industry left to do it themselves? Or an industrial workforce for it? Not to mention the people know it, and they're either one of three things: pissed, delusional or just out of fucks to give. None of that bodes well for the future of the American economy especially with human ingenuity being replaced by AI. You can't even hold much hope for innovation. Our best and brightest scientists are being executed by hitmen in their homes, and it's mainstream media news. Absolutely nobody trusts the government or politicians anymore. I could go on and on. The entire US economy is a house of cards that is held up by debt that nobody is going to pay, and things are going to get a lot worse before they get any better. At this point, it's a bet on whether or not anyone reading this lives long enough to see it, or if the US will ever recover. Lots of people who know their history drawing lots of parallels to fallen empires. And it's usually the enemy at home that sets those dominoes in motion. The enemy here is the MIC. Are you betting against them? Because I'm sure as hell not, and neither is anyone even remotely close to it.
