Why did the S&P downgrade government debt from AAA to AA+? Spoiler Alert: it was because the republicans used the debt ceiling as leverage for negotiating.

The system has a myriad of extensions and features that allow it to function in suspension without a clear mandate. The clowns don’t understand how it can be be checked and balanced for at least six months. Of course options players will profit. And the AAA ratings will go down. But balance will be restored as soon as enough people make money from their trades. Everything is temporary. Both chaos and order. There are always trades on both sides of the equation. Especially if you’re running very precise algorithms with massive capital, and therein lies the rib. We can only anticipate how the algorithms will move the market. Best to keep on keeping abreast of it. Shrugs shoulders. I sense Cambridge Analytica was just the beginning. Lol. Media and Sport Committees were not algo trader literate. But it started here: http://data.parliament.uk/writtenevidence/committeeevidence.svc/evidencedocument/digital-culture-media-and-sport-committee/fake-news/oral/79388.pdf

IT'S STILL IN BETA YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND. ONCE THEY GET AAA NFT GAMES WHERE YOU CAN USE ITEMS THAT YOU OWN IN FIFTY THOUSAND OTHER GAMES GME WILL PERSONALLY MAKE 5 TRILLION IN PROFIT EVERY SECOND!

What a shock! You deflected again and went with stock emotional semantic amc cultists use to when their memes fail them.
Once again: what happened after AAA dumped shares and the initial price rose?
Hint: Look at AMC’s current price

Oh I definitely get different folks have different valuations of Cashflow vs liquidity or even the psychological impact of debt.
Just wanted to point out another option for others in a similar boat.
I’m expected to shell out nearly 900k in interest im the next 30 years, but given the rate is locked in at 2.5%, I will happily sit making the minimum payment when the interest amount is below inflation, much less the common yield from US treasuries and AAA bonds.

You are avoiding the question because you damn well remember what happened when AAA dumped shares during the $72 run up.
And what’s happened since the creation of ape.
But keep the cultist amc mentality, it’s served you so well. 🤡

Oh, I see what’s happening. You don’t know how conversation threads work. The quote that came before was about a wife wanting to cut house hold spending. Not by Tyler. Just following the conversation backwards. Naturally, as I understand how threads work, I was responding to that. But I also responded to the other thread you started with me. So you should already know my position.
I’ll copy my response to your other thread here in case you’re still struggling with how to use this app:
> You’re assuming I don’t think we have a debt problem. I’m just not stupid enough to think using our countries good credit as leverage is the right move. Ignoring the hypocrisy of only caring about the debt limit when a democrat is president, the last time the republicans pulled this shit it cost us our AAA rating.

AAA has demonstrated and outright said he is gonna raise capital with extra shares to pay off debt.
I understand you are a cultist who thrives on memes and incomplete sentences, but what do you think is gonna happen during a run up? AAA , who is committed to getting amc out of debt will leave money on the table?

lots of assumptions here:
buying just before the ex-div / getting dividend / selling - wont work how you think. google dividend capture strategy. no free lunches
yes, buying regularly is a great long term strategy.....company AAA might be 10 today and 11 in 10 months, that means buying today would net you 10% in addition to the dividends received
formulate a long term strategy for your money. short term savings car/house/wedding/vacations should stay in a hysa/bonds, while long term investing money (retirement) should get into the market as quick as possible to capture loooong term gains

it could be just as bad as the Cp77 release and the stock goes south again. The probability of a AAA game being shit is insanely high in 2023.

You’d better make it real simple for some of the visitors here.
Glass Steagal repeal set the stage.
That allowed Banks to become investment banks.
Zip code mortgages and Fannie, Freddie and FHA telling lenders if the didn’t participate in the zip code lending program they would be cut off accelerated it.
The now Investment Banks packaging 90% shit credit loans with 10% A credit loans and then selling them as AAA, with credit rating agencies help put the pedal to the floor.
US taxpayer footing the bill for the bailouts was always the plan - why manage risk when you never have to pay? Plus the banks had made 100s of millions in fees - see any of those disgorged?
THEN the US govt in all their wisdom gave money to the banks to lend out to small businesses. They didn’t. But there was no accountability so who cares right.
The banks took the money and put it in risk assets ie stocks.
Everyone’s happy bc that huge injection made the market go up.
Which led to MORE risk taking. CS is a poster child.
That in turn led to banks lending to shit tech companies.
SVIB et Al.
And here we are.
Oversimplification but at the end of the day, all those toxic derivatives are still out there and they have been hypothecated so many times that they are near impossible to unwind or get price discovery on.
And that’s why the FED will do anything to maintain control: bc they know what happens if many banks start to fail.
And that’s why the VIX must be suppressed. Bc if it rises too much, the Fed loses control, and the most heavily armed country in the world will start to look for who is to blame.
Washington.
