but make sure muni's make sense for your tax bracket. IIRC, they still count against IRMAA if you're close to or in medicare
If your tax equivalent yield isn't better and if you want bonds, go for treasuries or corporate as the yield on muni's will likely come up short in comparison. I recently thought about adding muni's but now that NH doesn't have a state dividend tax, they don't make sense.
Treasuries would be the route if you are in a state with an income tax. My pref is for bond ETFs.
