This happens quite often. Happened to me as well. I bought Chesapeake(CHK) before it was bought. My average purchase price was about $11. I had over 1,000 shares and the price skyrocketed up to over $80 during covid. I kept it because of greed. Yes, greed. I hoped it would go up more and it did. But then it dropped and kept on dropping. I bought more shares st what I thought was a “good price” but it kept dropping and I kept buying more. I told myself it would go back up but it didn’t. I was sad over it and learned the hard way. And then what did I do? I cut my losses. If it’s too good to be true, it probably is. If you’re lucky and something goes up crazy high, learn to let go and sell it. If it goes down you’ll be glad you sold it. If it goes up, leave it alone. Don’t buy in again thinking it’ll go up because the chances of it crashing are extremely high. Don’t beat yourself up over this, but take it as a huge lesson and experience. Learn from it and don’t do it again. That’s advice from my personal experience. I was lucky but greedy and lost everything that I gained and more. Don’t be greedy. I really hope you feel better soon!
