Well there are a few ways. I have an eBay account and I've sold over 100 items. There are also consignment services who can sell for me and I can get between 80% and 90% depending on value.
I have also sold locally which is ok for smaller valued items, but larger valued items I prefer to sell online because I don't have to worry about attempted robbery's and what not.
There are also card shows I guess, which I have never been to.
I had collected cards and sealed products between 2015 and 2017 and then in 2020 the market exploded so I sold about $10k worth of stuff and proceeded to spend about $14k on new stuff and vintage cards and I spend a couple grand a year on stuff, but I am taking it slow now since the market exploded again and I don't feel comfortable with current prices.
I want to start a business of sorts so if I sell on eBay I can collect GST/HST which I paid when I originally purchased the product.
Before on eBay they didnt automatically collect GST/HST if you bought from someone, but now they do which adds another 13% to buying a card or something which is hella bs.
I'm planning to hold until 30th anniversary and then cash out on some things.
