As u/shadowmage666 points out, NFTs are not going away. ERC-721 may be replaced over time but long term blockchain adoption requires both fungible & non-fungible tokens.
Fungible tokens are things like AVAX or USDC which can be freely interchanged and are not uniquely different while non-fungible tokens are distinct singular entities.
For comparison to fiat, I have $195 in cash on my desk right now. US dollars are inherently fungible in that any combination of $1s, $5s, $10s that sums up to $195 are equal. However, I have a one dollar bill (serial number: F92126998E). Nobody else in the world has this $1 dollar bill. In that sense it is non-fungible. Now it would make zero sense if your bank acccount reflected 1 F92126998D, 1 F92126889D, etc instead of stacking it all into a single value right?
So think about the California DMV thing, the similar project in New Jersey, the land deeds in India, etc. these need to be non-fungible as each token represents a unique record. Meanwhile the avax used to mint or transfer said documents needs to be fungible tokens prevent a billion rows of data each recording a distinct nAVAX. Having both forms in parallel is what enables the system to run efficiently.

You can pay off your balance with USDC direct from your Coinbase account? That’s HUGE! Makes the Gemini card look even more like the piece of shit it is!

Hi u/pelado06! Great to hear you're getting started with Coinbase. Could you please clarify if you’re using Coinbase.com or the Base app (formerly Coinbase Wallet) for this transaction? Also, have you already tried using the Ethereum network when sending USDC to your Binance wallet? This will help us better understand the issue and guide you accordingly. Looking forward to your response!

For the purpose of this experiment; I will only be swapping ETH to USDC and back. The goal is to attempt to out-pace the ETH accumulation that aave lending provides.

I got the Coinbase One card and I'm digging it so far. If you are a Coinbase user already, it makes a pretty easy flywheel to hold cash there in USDC and earn interest, use the CC to earn BTC rewards, then pay the balance out of your USDC.

It's basically just combining a HYSA with a credit card program but it does get them one step closer to being a super-app IMO.

Decentralisation is not purely "good".
In my opinion we need to broaden the highway a bit. One way to think about it could be - as a company could you launch your centralized app on let's say Ethereum without anyone stopping you?
As an example, some game developers launched games on Facebook and gained users. However everything was lost when facebook took a decision to close down gameroom.
Does everything have to be decentralized? JPEGs stored in IPFS, ETH/USDC pegs to purchase things. Sounds nerdy and cool. We could perhaps start with letting people have that as an alternative? I would absolutly love to have the ability to create an account linked to one of my ETH wallets when signing up to things online. If you want to use gmail, apple id, samsung id or whatever go ahead as well :)

Does Binance support USDC on the Polygon network? On Coinbase, it’s free to send USDC on Polygon - it’s what I do when I send to my other exchange.

Been reading a lot here lately about stablecoin projects sneaking into the alt scene, and it made me curious to check out Falcon Finance ($FF). Numbers caught my eye first: apparently over $1.8B USDf circulating supply, close to $1.9B TVL, and growing through collateralized debt positions (sort of a CDP play like MakerDAO but with its own twist). That’s not pocket change.
With stablecoin issuance booming again this year (USDT up $18B, USDC up $7B), projects like this might be in the right place at the right time. Daily DeFi transactions climbing toward $30B kind of confirm the momentum.
Personally, I first stumbled into $FF because of the listing on Bitget I had tried their launchpools before ($0G actually gave me some crazy good returns for just a few days of staking BGB). So when I saw $FF being added, I figured I’d keep an eye on it rather than sleep on another stablecoin/CDP project.
Not saying it’s the “next big thing,” but the combo of high TVL, decent track record on issuance, and a CEX listing to provide liquidity definitely makes it one to watch.
Anyone else been following $FF before this listing, or am I late to the party?

One of the platform that I was staking USDC got attacked and nearly all of the funds were drained at the start of 2025. I lost $1000 in that incident.
If you have only 1000 euros you should divide it to at least 3 portions and stake them on the different platforms.

Hey everyone,
Lately I’ve been trying different ways to earn yield on stablecoins. I used to farm directly on-chain, but the APYs dropped a lot and the risks (smart contracts, depegs, hacks) make me a bit nervous.
So I’ve started exploring CEX launchpools as a safer option. The idea of staking USDT/USDC or even platform tokens for a few days and earning new projects feels way more simple and less risky than locking funds in random DeFi protocols.
Right now I’m testing one with a new stablecoin project (Falcon Finance, $FF) on Bitget’s launchpool. It’s running until Oct 1st and you basically stake $BGB or $USDT to farm $FF. Pretty straightforward.
But I don’t want to stick to just one place. Do you guys know other reliable platforms or alternatives where stablecoin holders can get decent returns without too much risk?
Would appreciate any good recommendations or personal experiences 🙏

Welcome to Trader Tuesday!
We all see people analyze charts and speculate price swings, but we rarely see people actually act on it.

This particular series is going to explore actual results of trading vs passive gains from just your normal every day Joe.
To compare the results side by side, I have deposited 2 ETH into a brand new wallet, on the Arbitrum Network.
1 ETH has been supplied into AAVE protocol.
Currently, the APY for lending ETH on AAVE on Arbitrum is 1.92% - not the greatest, but this number can fluctuate when there is more demand from borrowers.

This leaves the other ETH to play with for day trading!
The aim of the game is to see if an everyday average joe can out-perform the passive gains of lending via Aave. This means, I'm not using bots, I'm not using technical analysis or anything fancy. Just sitting down, and making a trade or two, checking the charts, in between watching sport.
Today I looked at the $4200 benchmark. Swapping ETH for USDC above $4200 and swapping back to ETH when it was below $4200 within a few minutes, opting for the fast pace of Day Trading to avoid getting sidelined by waiting for larger swings over a longer time period.
I started this experiment last week, but only began the trading today so there could be some results to compare.
1 week of passive gain versus 2 back and forth trades today.
||Current Balance|
|:-|:-|
|AAVE Lending (Passive)|1.0004 ETH|
|Day Trading (Active)|1.0048 ETH|
Of course, the other thing to be aware of with active trading is ensuring you have accounted a larger enough price swing to offset any slippage, protocol fees and gas fees!
