OP: I had this feeling too when I first started my Bitcoin journey in 2021. So, I stacked hard and reached 1 BTC in early 2022, and then reached 2 BTC by end of 2022. Continue to stack, currently at 3.35 BTC. But reaching 4 BTC is unlikely at my current DCA of $1k per month…. Unless BTC crashes below $80k again!

OP says they understand what stablecoins are and why they would use it. Presumably their question is why can’t Facebook or Amazon (in your example) just use USDC or USDT or one of the many stablecoins out there

Your first statement can be easily misconstrued. Let's make sure we're on the same page; the data was sold, but it wasn't sold by coinbase. CB is selling themselves way short if they only asked for 20 bucks per entry. And I will be utterly insulted if they only got $20 from selling me out. 
This happened because they outsourced access to customer data to a 3rd party, because for whatever the fuck reason, the work is far too below their 6 figure salary to do it themselves. 
The OP asked if it's safe to use CB, or if they should go to another exchange. I never once said they should use coinbase. I'm asking how will going to another exchange be any safer than coinbase?
The smart thing to do is to understand the risks, what happened, why it happened, accept that you can and will lose everything if and when this happens again, and invest according. The not so smart thing to do is to believe going to another exchange is going to fix this. Because that in itself is simply ignoring the risks and warnings.

I’m a centrist myself, however a question for OP isn’t it funny how many so called left, right, center, corporations contribute to every presidential campaign!!! They deliberately hedge either way! The same is applied to financial markets OP should know not to single out just one entity imagine boycotting all entities you use due to your bias or political tirade charade beliefs good luck living off grid! Just facts and statistics I could reference all records of political donations here in end notes however I have more pertinent tasks so research them don’t fall for the divisiveness only one faction in power remember divided we all fall (conquered)!!!

PGP is so "un-technical" nowadays, so if you say it is too technical, may be of concern.
The OP didn't specify a hardware wallet.  I am strongly opposed to hardware wallets.  You never know how seeds are generated in the wallet.  Do you know how the PRNG is implemented, or is there any malicious code in it?  It may or not happen in the future that peoples HDW are suddenly "cleaned," and nobody will know where in the production process it was tampered.  HDW are prone to loss, damage, just search for it and you will get numerous scary stories.
