No, not really. He may have left DOGE, but his new job is in an even more disturbing area for a guy who steals data. Let's remember his background, then look at the end of my comment to see what his job is now...
>Edward Coristine, a protege of Elon Musk’s at the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), who has already gained notoriety for his checkered early tech career and for glorying in the nickname “Big Balls”, is the grandson of a KGB spy, according to a new report (the independent)
>Edward Coristine, a 19-year-old DOGE member, has been linked to a cybercrime group through his former company, DiamondCDN. Coristine has been listed as an adviser in multiple U.S. government agencies, including the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency
>Coristine worked at Neuralink, another Musk-run enterprise, before joining X and later Doge.
>One of Coristine's ventures, Tesla.Sexy LLC, registered when he was just 16, manages dozens of web domains, including Russian-registered sites. One of these, still operational, offers Helfie, an AI-powered Discord bot operating in Russia, which could present security clearance challenges, per Wired.
>In 2022, he worked briefly for Path Network, a network monitoring company known for hiring former hackers, according to Wired. That same year, an individual using a Telegram alias linked to Coristine reportedly sought out a cyberattack-for-hire service.
>[The article originally from March 27th, 2025 about the major breach and leak that also took place over starlink. ](https://fortune.com/2025/03/27/a-doge-staffer-working-as-a-senior-advisor-in-the-governments-cybersecurity-agency-once-provided-tech-support-to-a-cybercrime-ring/)
>(and where does Edward work now? Well...) "Edward Coristine is currently listed as a "senior adviser" at both the State Department and the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA). He was previously identified as a member of Elon Musk's staff at the digital currency platform DOGE."
See all [cybersecurity and tech policies here on the project 2025 tracker. ](https://www.project2025.observer/?sort=status-desc&subjects=EVQOVfbYvGBvzmPztOqTn%2CfZX2PZhv8m9pOl19ORcYK) This guy is even more dangerous now than he was at DOGE, if you could even imagine that.

I wanted to test how effective Dollar Cost Averaging really is for smaller portfolios.
I’ve been putting:
* $3/day into BTC, ETH, DOGE
* $2/day into Robinhood (HOOD)
* $8/day into Sony (SONY)
After a few months, here’s what I’m seeing:
* HOOD: +67%
* BTC: +32%
* ETH: -8%
* DOGE: -3%
* SONY: +11%
I sell profits when I hit 50–100% gains and reinvest strategically.
Full breakdown in my video (with real screenshots + numbers):

Curious if anyone else uses small DCA like this? How’s it working for you?

How do you tell someone is a fucking idiot? They think DOGE helped america in any way at all.
As others have noted, DOGE has only harmed us and helped our foes, like Russia.

As an eu investor. When the shiller pe of the s&p500 went back above 37 even when trump was just elected and the whole elon musk and tariff talk and DOGE started picking up, I gradually reduced my US exposure from 75% of portfolio down to 15% (taking profits and keeping what I believe to be good value) and shifted to the EU and asia (and a bit of LatAm)..
So far very happy with my decision..
I believe the EU is really starting to finally get its shit together, things are still looking a bit grim (which btw is usually the good time to buy) with the jobmarket etc.. but I see a lot of good decisions being made, more confidence in our own strength and serious policy shifts
Plenty of investment opportunities here tbh, sure we don't have a MAG7 or h tech plays like PLTR, but there is good value to be found if you look around.
In the end Warren Buffet and Peter Lynch also always recommended to "invest in boring businesses" and not the hot fad of the day.

> I legit don’t think alts will ever have their time at this point
The point with Alts has always been to ride a successful pump with a new coin or a relatively low marketcap and rotate to BTC when it reaches a high marketcap or saturation point. From that point on, you might have short term pumps but Alts are guaranteed to bleed against BTC long term. There are tens of thousands of examples in page after page of marketcap rankings that illustrate this. Here are some of /r/cryptocurrency's favorites over the years:
- LTC's ₿ high was .04792 in late 2013. If it kept up with BTC, the price would be $5,156
- ZCash ₿ high was 2.2635 on late 2016. If it kept up with BTC, the price would be $243,550
- XRP ₿ high was .00022465 in May 2017. If it kept up with BTC , the price would be $24.17

hmm only 7,000,000 of PEPE?
PEPE is going to do better than XRP. and better than ADA. probably would beat LINK as well

I mean these are all shitcoins, no doubt. But if you reduced it to just SOL, DOGE and PEPE, that might have a chance
personally, i'd sell all of it and just buy BTC ... ok, BTC and a bit of ETH. but that's me

The government has access to basically all banking records payroll records, credit card purchases, land purchases, vehicle purchases, etc. The government. DOGE and Elon Musk have access to enough data to determine who owns what.

eh, so can a portfolio of OTC equities when it turns out the companies are fake. They don't underwrite your reserves, they just want proof you have them. I can see a world where certain crypto assets are allowed to be counted with a haircut. e.g., BTC and some other mainstream coins at a 50% haircut, but things like DOGE and TrumpCoin wouldn't count at all.

> How can having one 28yo accounting manager and 4 24yo consultants with 0 year expertise in any business field, come to a mega corp, interview c-suit and say to must merge this unit with this competitor and outsource operation be worth 1 million USD for 10 days work and 100 « made in India outsourced to AI » power point slides.
You know how people were shocked that the DOGE kiddies making sweeping decions about the US govt operations and stuff? Same idea. This is what "running the government like a business" looks like.
