And about 7 weeks ago, Bitcoin was absolutely making a mockery of the stock market as BTC was up +35% YTD compared to the S&P's +15%, and BTC was up +65% from the April lows compared to the S&P's +35%.
Welcome to the ebb & flow of crypto. Don't sweat the short-term.

I hope you already bought a cold wallet and transferred your BTC and forget about it. Never keep your bitcoins on exchanges. As you buy more over the years, split them into a few cold wallets like how you'd split your cash into different bank accounts.

Don’t try to time the market. DCA in on assets you have conviction on.
Most everything just follows BTC if you look at the charts. I’m hopeful we’ll have a year end pump but no one knows.
Cold wallets is the only way you truly own the asset. On an exchange you are a creditor to the exchange.
Buckle up. This space is very volatile.

Seems like most of the people commenting / disagreeing with you don’t know much about TA or haven’t opened up a chart in while.
All in BTC Oct 26’

Hello everyone, I just joined the crypto community last week and i wanna learn as much as possible since I keep hearing big changes coming soon. I’ve mainly been focusing on BTC,ETH,XRP and BNB. I saw BTC drop down to 80K and I was going to buy but someone told me it was gonna drop lower so I waited and now I see it’s back up to 90K. Does anyone think it’ll drop back down or should I go ahead and buy?
Also I wanted to ask for tips or things I should look out for in crypto. I’ve learned the “basics” watching long YouTube videos but I know everyone has something different to say so anything is much appreciated. I’m using Binance and Coinbase and I’m not sure what wallet to get. I feel kinda dumb asking these types of questions but we gotta start somewhere I guess lol.

Same. I don't even know why I sub anymore. It's the same meme's rinsed and repeated. Never any real discussion. The overused meme's start making it feel like a scam. BTC isn't a scam, but fuck I can see why some people think that with the way people post about it when they haven't actually researched it.

ETH isn't consistently going down against BTC, it's merely increasing it's upside potential!

But if BTC replaces gold, where does the value proposition for DeFi come into it? DeFi has a place, but replacing gold certainly has a virtue that none else can hold. Other than gold, that is.
Don't waste your time. Stick with BTC. And be done with it.

In five years you won’t care if you bought at $120k or $90k, because BTC will be $1m or more

nah it'll be I held the magic BTC that turned to shit due to inanity to scale, unpredictable gas fees and XRP was always going to be king because the phoenix rises from BTC ashes LMAO

> The lowest consenus allows,
Lawyering words, hedging to not give an answer. didnt expect that from you
> realistically Bitcoin will never get a fee market,
Interesting, that implies you think blocks will only ‘just’ be full on average, with little demand.
My counter, assuming BTC becomes useful for more than just speculation
* What fee would YOU pay to make JUST 1% on a TIMELY Million$ Tx?
But if as you say L1 demand will be less than 1% of the population NEEDING to make ONE Tx a year then miners will diminish, leaving all those ‘useless’ sha256 machines fallow, idle hands…
> everyone will try to pay the lowest amount possible,
Of course, I assume you did that for your house, how much did the lowest fee possible cost?
> and that doesn't matter as long as the chain stays censorship resistant
If it becomes self sustaining then the ability to transact censorship free will be afforded ONLY to richer and richer people.
I cannot stay in its current state as the thing driving the miners is diminishing at the very least price has to appreciate at 20% yr. this alone drives the price to transact up the wealth pyramid.
> and incredibly difficult to reorg.
If miners switch off then remember those GROING idle hands
TLDR: it sounds like ‘deep down’ you have already given up on world scale adoption of PERMISSIONLESS money. You may be right and it’s ‘currently’ impossible. we will see
I appreciate you commenting here.

Of course after a +5% day for BTC, you only come around the next day after a -0.5% drop to complain
