With 1.13 BTC you could buy a future on Mars, yet you ask me for ivory? I trade only in moons, not tusks.

Following up on the ‘would you tell the government your holdings’ thread, I wanted to ask if anyone can recommend reliable non-KYC exchanges for buying and swapping crypto. I’m based in Germany, so if that makes any difference, please let me know. I haven’t purchased in a long time, but lately I’ve been thinking of moving things around. Even though I don’t have anything to hide, the idea of staying a bit more anonymous is appealing. Right now I’m holding about 10kXRP, and I’m considering swapping half of that into BTC or ETH. Since it’s a decent chunk of value, I’d really like to avoid shady platforms or those with a reputation for freezing funds. Any suggestions or personal experiences would be super helpful.

BTC is really lagging behind M2 right now, a lot more than the 3 months we've grown to expect.
If the trend of global liquidity rising bringing BTC along with it continues, (which I think it will), we should be seeing a pretty nice rip coming here soon.

The return on BTC just isn't there anymore, if you got in fairly early, great. At this point expecting even 10% a year Is doubtful.

It's not my argument, it's the reason they "he" created it. Although I think this system is f*$@&, we don't control our own destiny. Some unnamed cabal of ppl seem to decide the fate of the West. Nevertheless I believe Bitcoin has thrown a huge monkey wrench in their works. To answer the question about moving fiat without a bank, sure can but large amounts good luck and it's hardly possible with BTC anymore either on account of KYL, AML, etc...

I’m afraid you might not be able to find and understand the correct sources in order to fully grasp how BTC works UNLESS you “learn English more” then learn more about BTC!
What is a difficulty adjustment?
What is a mining pool?
What happens when all of the BTC is mined?
Good luck on your knowledge quest.

It's a start, don't listen to the haters. Right now it looks like we may have an alt season, so you might get lucky with one of the top coins, but stay away from memes. After alt season I would go all-in BTC and keep on DCAing into it.

Money supply. There’s too much liquid sitting around with no where else to go. When something as worthless at BTC is over $100k and holding, and gold keeps reaching new ATH’s, and the dollar is down 10% in a few months it gets harder to deny that we’ve created too much money.

I own about .5% in my cash, ROTH and IRA accounts because digital currency is going to be a reality, Crypto is becoming mainstream with the the money collector bankers and nearly every CFP recommending having some exposure. To hedge my risk, been selling short term calls #% above the market against FBTC in my ROTH and IRA accts and reinvesting the premium in more FBTC. The other adv of FBTC in my cash acct in my view, it doesn't pay dividends, which can affect IRRMA, SS and certain tax benefits of keeping your income low whilst growing your net worth. I also like the fact that I don't have to manage actual BTC or the tax reporting consequences of owning, selling or using it. So far....that plan is working, but the possibility for it to drop to 50K is always looming. THis is why crypto must be regulated.

Almost 2 years ago I decided to make a change. Although it was a small tweak in my normal day to day life, it set me up to be the best version of myself and gave me something positive to associate my bad habits with.
What changed? I started putting my booze money into **BTC** each week. Automatically. No thoughts or actions needed.
It’s not much, but it’s honest work. And way better than *wasting* money, time & health in the bottle, IMPO.
I hope this reaches someone who is battling with the liquid demons. Reach out anytime, I can assure you it’s better on the dryer side & when I say it will improve all angles of your life, I’m not even exaggerating.

It's an option. Whether it's a good option or not depends on the holder.
My insight would be: the short term hardship of maintaining 2 loan payments would greatly outweigh the loss of holding BTC long term.
Delayed gratification is a powerful finance tool.

This isn't specifically a Bitcoin question, but it is directly related.
For those who have a concern about privacy, or those who live in countries which have blocked certain tokens (or banned BTC), I'd like to hear some discussion on what CEXs or DEX are reliable and legitimate that don't have a KYC process.
Back in the day, KuCoin was an option, but no longer and it sounds like they're having some issues. Can you folks recommend other vendors? I've seen Bisq mentioned a few times but their fees (pricing) seems outrageous.
Would love to hear some discussion on this subject.
Thanks in advance!

To your point on crypto moving wealth, I’d agree with you on many coins, but billionaires are rolling billions into BTC as if their life depended on it. That shows something, unsure what. My gut feels it might be the USD confidence is floundering, and those with billions of them don’t want to be stuck holding them.

It really comes down to risk tolerance and conviction. Big winners usually require sitting through rough drawdowns (look at BTC, AAPL, TSLA. All the big hitters see multiple -60%+ drawdowns), which most people can’t stomach.
That’s why trimming as others have suggested when you start losing conviction, but also not being afraid to add on the way up is key. Funny enough, most people DCA into losers but rarely into winners.

I’m planning to swap around 1.2 BTC into some altcoins since I feel like alt season is finally warming up. I really don’t want to deal with centralized exchanges though, too many horror stories of accounts being frozen or funds getting stuck (Binance especially).
I’ve also come across some sketchy reviews about services like Changelly, ChangeNOW, and FixFloat, where people said they had issues with locked transactions or even accused them of scamming.
Since this is a pretty large amount for me, I want to be extra careful. Can anyone recommend a reliable decentralized exchange or swap service (preferably no-KYC), and maybe share why you trust it?
