I listen to the Rich Habits Podcast, and while I don't have any bitcoin exposure I like a lot of their advice. Their recommendation is 10% bitcoin exposure. I can agree with that due to the volatility. Will BTC be a thing in 40 years? That is as valid a question as your 40-year question.
Sure, any stock can go either direction in the right/wrong situation. Current me would rather have 20yo me owning revenue-making companies. If you feel compelled to holding it, I'd say start with 10% and see how it goes. I'd feel better knowing I only lost 10% vs 20% while also being ok with missing out on any huge jumps in BTC. Missed gains make you shake your head. Huge losses have detrimental effects on people.

It does not work. First you need to be able to spend self custodial. Holding self custodial alone is bullshit. Like a prisoner but you own your cell 😜.
But BTC/LN does not work at scale. As soon as a few people try to use BTC or try to manage their channels, the fees rise and the chain gets congested. LN does not scale BTC, it breaks down with it. I have enough examples in the series that confirms that.

BTC follows a strict pricing schedule, and it hit ATM on schedule to the day in Oct. It won't do that again for a little over a year. Newtards just gotta learn

Assuming you find a place where you can hand over cash and receive btc, you MUST generate a new address than ones you used to withdraw from binance.
If you're worried about governments being able to track you, then those addresses from binance are traceable. Sending additional coins to them will be linked to you.
Generate a new address. Use sparrow wallet on desktop to label the UTXOs as your noKYC addresses. Don't mix them later.
Tbh, unless you're really going to keep on top of it, you'll end up fucking up later and mixing them. Get a second hardware wallet and use that only for noKYC BTC

That’s not the issue, they simple treat what happens inside Monero as blackbox they don't need to know the balances inside Monero to trace?
The vulnerability isn't the holding or transfering Monero, it’s the entry and the exit.
Unless you are mining Monero yourself and spending it directly on goods with a vendor who never cashes out, you eventually have to interact with the visible financial system.
They don't need to decrypt the Monero blockchain to catch you. They simply see a withdrawal from A and a corresponding deposit at B shortly after. The volume + time correlation creates a statistical link that is strong enough for a subpoena.
Another problem is liquidity constraints, for hiding large sums Monero creates issues, and pealing creates a strong temporal fingerprint. Lichtenstein (the Bitfinex hacker) wrote a bot to automate thousands of small transactions over several years. Because he had to break the funds down to swap them, he created a massive
Breaking 120000 BTC into thousands of micro transactions. They didn't do this just for fun, they had to do it because of liquidity constraints on swap services.
That necessity created a giant repeating, automated visible pattern on the blockchain. The FBI didn't crack Monero, they just watched the 'Peel Chain' feed into the black box and watched the consolidated funds come out the other side. The volume matched perfectly.
