Where do your 99% come from? Seriously. You just make up numbers based on subjective observation and if people here tell you it's not as hard to handle BTC you just deflect.
I think it's you who doesn't want to realize you are the old Grandma at the ATM that can't access her money.
It's literally a single passphrase that you need to remember or have somewhere secure. That's all someone truly needs.
The rest is basically one LLM question away. And Wallets that make use of crypto as easy as Apple Pay exist btw. Not that I would recommend them but you seem to be completely unaware of the current crypto economy and still claim it to be 'so hard' to understand.

Can I see your memo (with seed/passphrase), maybe, just maybe I can simplefy it for your wife :D
Joke aside, I plan to do same - pass BTC to my son, but at least my wife is in IT so she wont have a problem accesing coins.

I hope it becomes easier. I stress about my stack. Sometimes I consider trading out my traditional stuff for more bitcoin- but worry about my access to it. Losing my info on a fire, or on a boat but for real. I want to be more heavy on BTC but it doesn't feel as secure.
I can't go to Reddit - everybody is too cool here- you already got people telling you it's a you problem. I'm pretty fluent with a computer and still don't feel comfortable. I don't check my shit cuz I don't have a computer- I'm flying on the seat of my pants and feel insecure.

They lose BTC and it's value goes up.
But there's a lot changing. When I started, it was just a wallet in the miner. Now you have seed phrases, hardware wallets etc.
It's going to be tricky, that's for sure.
If you keep your keys (seed phrase or wallet), then the risk is all on your end.
If you have them on an exchange such as coinbase, you designate a person as a beneficiary.
If your goal is to use it as "apple pay" then coinbase makes it easier with their debit card.
So yeah it's still extremely early and adoption too low still, but with time it'll be figured out.
Let my know if you have any questions!
Cheers

What about your “money” in the bank then? If BTC is to be worried of quantum then what happens to fiat bank money? Would love to hear that..

They've just gone through a merger, leadership change, and announced a $1.5B BTC treasury. I think this will become a longer term play, not a quick buck.

So I’ve been bouncing between swap sites and honestly getting tired of the random flags and mid-trade delays. All I want is to turn BTC into USDT without ending up in a KYC rabbit hole or chasing down support.
Anyone here using a method/site that’s still working clean in 2025?
No ID, no BS, just fast swaps.

Are you open to discussion? I’d honestly like to know what happens to 99% who don’t have skill. The only way BTC grows to billions is that at least 20-30% know how to use it and are able.

Tbh, I stopped caring about what fiat value BTC has. I see BTC as a standalone currency and use it on a daily basis.
Keep stacking SATs and try to live as much as possible on BTC, gradually getting rid of Fiat.

Quantum computing is the biggest technical risk. If the currently lost coins are suddenly unlocked for whoever grabs it first the network will be volatile for a long time.
The other is that people conflate final scarcity of BTC with the idea that the price will go up forever because of money printing. That may technically be true, but there are several scarce assets (prime real estate, art, etc) and that quality doesn’t mean their price will go up dramatically forever, though it will at least to some extent as everything suffers the effects of inflation. It may very well be that the price of BTC does indeed go up forever but the idea that one could retire off .1 BTC in however many years from now is fantasy unless your aim is to have a very modest lifestyle.

btc will dip and alts will fall with it and then btc will recover alts will follow and when BTC stops tipping the real alt season will begin

this is all assuming things haven't changed due to industrial adoption internationally. if things have changed be ready for different sectors to pump and dump and different times. the goal in the end is to have as much bitcoin and ethereum as possible (and XMR of course but that doesnt really need to be said.. thats the real deal)

Think of 21 million BTC as whole units, each split into 100 million pieces for transactions. So we multiply not divide.

The market absorbed an 80,000 BTC whale sell and literally nothing happened. 1000 won’t move the needle at all.

They were not balls deep. They just have a 100k to throw at BTC and "see what happens". It's like us buying BTC for 10$.
Their 0.5% allocation is our 100% allocation
