BTC is Gold. Then comes the question: do you buy bread with gold?

ETF long term would not be ideal imo. The current expense ratio is 0.25%, now if someone buys $100,000 of FBTC for example, the yearly fee for that is $250 yearly. Not bad right? BUT if you plan to hold long term, after 30 years for example, that $250 is looking more like $7,500. BUT obviously it will be more because the price of BTC is expected to go up right?

hahaha it supposed to be 2009 or 2010, because BTC wasn't available for buy that year

It doesn't help that every time Algo makes a solid move BTC dumps.
Algo legitimately deserves to breakout against BTC, but it's going to be tough going until retail is interested with a blockchain that actually delivers. Honestly doesn't seem like most of the market realizes there's an actual working blockchain out there. Everyone is content to just pump their bags on chains with subpar tech.

3 years is pretty short-term ⏳ so protecting principal matters more than chasing max gains. VOO is solid, but you might also look at a mix with bonds (BND, AGG) or even high-yield savings/T-bills for the portion you can’t risk. BTC is high conviction but high volatility, maybe keep it small like you said (5–10%). Curious how others here would balance growth vs safety on a 3-year clock?

For me as well. BTC is only king in terms of market cap. All other important metrics it’s not even close to ethereum

Barely even there imo. I would go back one phone lol. We’re almost at the third cell phone. That’s how we should all judge BTC from now on.
2035: “Hey guy’s, which cell phone do you think we’re on?”

You’re young enough to continue being aggressive, however, if it went to zero it would be very difficult to mentally recover from.
Peace of mind holds enormous value. Take your wins. I would rotate 25-30% into safer investments i.e, down payment on a duplex (house hack), S&P growth ETFs.
For the remaining 70-75%, i would be heavy BTC & ETH. You don’t have to continue sprinting from here.

BTC rallies attract people who put in $100 and expect to see it turn into $10k within 3 months. Big doom energy radiates quickly from that crowd.

Tokenization is on the horizon and will allow you to diversify into RWA. I’d recommend diversifying into gold, either physical or gold ETFs and avoid real estate. I think real estate is going to bust, it’s too unaffordable for many and the top is probably in.
I’d also diversify into BTC/SOL/Utility coins.
Maybe 2% into memes if you know how to make those quick plays without getting wrecked.

The binance CEO gave a shout at ASTER a few days ago.
ASTER is pumping like crazy. That means in the crypto world which rule is hype and narrative. Aster definitely a short term hold. Long term hold is just BTC...

No chance.
Unless it drops to 2011 prices and somehow does not die and pumps up again. Be mindful that this would be 99,95% drop.
I'm sorry to tell you but 50 bucks in BTC will not make you rich anymore. If you keep them your grand grand children might be rich though.

Whoa thats the classic “all-in or spread thin” dilemma! 😅
I used to be a whole coiner fan. put everything into one alt thinking it was the next BTC. Fast forward 6 months and I realized a simple 3-coin spread would’ve saved me from stressing over daily swings.
Diversification doesn’t have to be boring: even just splitting 50/30/20 between BTC, a solid alt, and a high-risk pick can smooth out volatility while keeping excitement. Tools like CoinGecko’s portfolio tracker helped me visualize this in real time.
Curious. what’s your gut feeling: do you ride the hype or play it safe?

Let's be honest, people invest in BTC to make money off it in the future, when the plan ultimately is to sell it back for USD.

S&P 500 is always good. I would add the All world as well. A 1000 bucks a month is quite a lot at age 21. Good for you! Please invest what you can miss and keep an emergency funds of about 10k on the side as well. Lot of index funds are near all time high so make sure you don’t have to cash out anytime soon, as it may fluctuate over the coming years. Skip the daily dividend pie. I’d add some BTC too but thats me :) good luck!

Hi everyone,
I often see posts here from both beginners and long-time Bitcoin holders about buying, selling, and future price action.
I was wondering what you think: is it still possible for Bitcoin to experience a massive “boom” like it did back in 2011 (or similar historic runs), or do you think the market has matured too much for that to happen again?
For context: I’ve only invested about €50 in BTC, while most of my money is in ETFs. I’m just curious about your thoughts on whether Bitcoin can still have extreme growth phases like in the past, or if it’s more of a steady long-term asset now.
Thanks for sharing your opinions!

And what - if anything - do you think this means for alt-season?
Like a lot of people I’m trying to figure out if a more “traditional” BTC > ETH > Other alts cycle is happening (and if so, when) or if we are in a new paradigm now. The altcoin index is at 77 today but it doesn’t feel like we’re mid-alt season at all.
How are you guys seeing this playing out?

Good breakdown. I don’t even bother with stocks or macro ETFs anymore — I only trade crypto, and what I’ve seen is that these rallies often look disconnected from the traditional economy because crypto moves on its own cycles.
I run bots that trade a select group of coins (BTC, ETH, SOL, LINK, etc.) using indicators like RSI, MACD, QFL, Bollinger Bands, and stochastic. That way I’m not trying to outguess the Fed or macro headlines every week — the system just executes, emotions out of the way.
From my view, crypto isn’t a bubble so much as it is a parallel market with its own rules. Sometimes it looks irrational compared to inflation or growth data, but inside the cycle, the moves make sense. It’s why whales keep stacking on dips — they’re playing the longer cycle, not the short-term noise
