Ignore your average.
These new dollars that you’re investing should be looked at in isolation.
Say you don’t invest them and Bitcoin goes to $1M, but instead you put them in stocks that double over the same time frame. Would it really matter what your average was?
Cost basis is for tax purposes. Anything beyond that is just psychological. If your goal is to get more BTC, it doesn’t matter one bit.

Got into Bitcoin in 2017, DCA’d over the next 3-4 years and ended up with ~0.15 BTC at an average price of 14k. Stopped investing around 2021.
It seems like a waste to start DCA’ing again if it’ll just make what I own more diluted, right?

Huge alt season is inevitable man. ETH at ATHs, global liq up, business cycle loading. USA regulation tailwinds, BTC national reserves, etc. Winner will no doubt be SPX :) But I have heard about Voo, what is that?

I use the strike app to buy my btc because it's a simple app, BTC only app, and ran by Jack Maller who is a legend. I move my btc to my blockstream Jade hardware wallet because it's only $79, it's a btc only wallet that is open source software, and is ran by Adam Back who is an original BTC developer.

Yeah well, as long as people still value BTC in USD. But that's becoming increasingly unreliable, as USD inflation goes off the rails. Better look at BTC versus other more stable currencies.

You may be disappointed to learn who owns the system that can convert BTC into fiat so you can actually use it.

Assuming you sell 2 BTC for 100,000 each: from age 70 you can take 200,000 USD, and spend 20,000 a year until youre 80. 10,000 until you're 90.

so lets say i invest a few thousand into BTC and i dont feel comfy letting it sit on Crypto.com, once i move them to a wallet, when i buy more every week after that, will that be a separate amount of BTC that will need to be consolidated with my existing wallet funds? or will it automatically add to the amount of BTC i already have on the cold wallet?

It will definitely go way higher in the long run but I think there will be a significant drop starting in either Q4 or sometime 2026. I would bet it falls drastically before it crosses the 150k threshold. Although i’m in a BTC sub so I will probably get shit on for saying this.

I knew about Bitcoin back in 2011 when I was 15 considering buying drugs on the Silk Road. I didn't buy Bitcoin then because everything seemed too sketchy and I was too scared tbh.
BTC was $5 a coin then.
Then in 2014, I heard and learned more about it again via drugs with people I knew who ACTUALLY regularly bought drugs on Silk Road (2.0) with BTC. This time I'm 17/18. Price is ~$500 a coin. Still didn't get into it myself.
Then in 2017... I'm 21. I hear the price went to $17,000 and a bunch of people are suddenly BTC millionaires. I'm like holy fucking shit, this could have been me if I had just gotten in when I first knew about it. Still didn't buy.
Then 2020 hits. I become disabled beyond being able to use any technology including phones/computers/any screens, etc... couldn't use technology for almost 2 years so I was in the dark about most things. Had no clue about anything about what happened to BTC.
It's now late November 2022 when I'm able to use technology again, be back on the internet, etc... My husband told me about the financial concepts in the Rich Dad Poor Dad book written by Robert Kiyosaki's which I thought were absolute GENIUS and made so much sense. Inspired— I ended up looking to see what other works Robert Kiyosaki has done and end up on his Twitter page.
Then I saw [this tweet.](https://x.com/theRealKiyosaki/status/1591053386392408064)
>BITCOIN? WORRIED? No. I am a Bitcoin investor as I am an investor in physical gold, silver, & real estate. I am NOT A TRADER or flipper. When BITCOIN hits new bottom, $10 to $12 k? I will get EXCITED, not worried. I bet against the Fed,Treasury, Biden, & bet on G,S, & Bitcoin.
Then I was like hold up... maybe Robert is onto something here. He's for Bitcoin.
This is when I started to get serious. I learned about the 4 year cycles, about how Bitcoin mining actually works, private keys, cold storage, all of it. I had learned it reached another all time high of $69,000, then went back down again into Bitcoin "winter", which I so happened to be at the right time at the right place.
I bought a Cold Card for cold storage. Bought BTC on several exchanges, and now own over a hold coin with an average buy in of ~$25,000. I am one happy whole coiner now, and now the US government is in. Blackrock is in. Strategy (Michael Saylor) is in. More places are taking BTC as payment. It's only going to go up from here.
Basically... buy BTC now. Learn everything you can about it.
• Cold storage such as the Coldcard Wallet is the way to go (BTC not kept long term on exchanges and not on "hotwallets" or other hardware wallets that have a chance to be comprised.)
• Learn about private keys, mnemonic phrases, and a 25th passphrase "word". Store your backup "keys" securely somewhere such as a Billhodl or metal stamped plates with your phrase on it (NOT JUST PAPER) then have it hidden away somewhere such as in the ground a location only you know.
• Always test your backup seed phrase with your hardware wallet before sending any money to your new address, so you know in the event you lose access to your hardware wallet and have to re-enter the phrase on a hardware device that you can successfully recover your funds with your stamped backup phrase.
• Always test transactions with sending a small amount first before doing big amounts in case something in the address is wrong. Always check each character of an address before sending, not just first few and last few characters. It's case sensitive too.
• Never give anyone your seed phrase. Never have anyone set up a wallet for you. Never send anyone BTC out of a threat.
• Ignore all reddit DMs. Scammers will try to get you to do something stupid to lose funds.
• Learn about other scams and how to avoid getting sucked into them.
You are so likely to have the mindset you do right now at your age. Your future has the potential to be golden.
Learn. Buy. & HODL!

If Tether fails, BTC crashes hard, and two weeks later Twitter calls it “the most bullish event in history”.

The sub is currently banking on GameStop having sold the BTC they bought at the $119k peak as if speculating on crypto is a legitimate business tactic for a game store.

Buy QQQM and forget about it. Set up a reoccurring buy on QQQM for $100 per week or whatever you’re comfortable with.
Have most of your portfolio in QQQM/VOO, then you can do some research and invest in individual stocks that you think could outperform those two.
Could also diversify funds into derivatives like crypto (BTC, ETH), mortgage (FNMA), metals like gold or silver (GLD, SLV).

It’s hard for me to see the “nothing to see here” narrative holding up currently. There is actually a legitimate pipeline of products they are working on like the PowerPacks which has potential to drive consistent revenue in the future. Not to mention the BTC holdings and cash on hand. I feel like, at any moment, they could announce that they have acquired something with that cash that would further help the bottom line.

Changenow routinely freezes funds and keeps people's BTC until they share KYC details and provide legitimate source of funds. They usually keep the BTC even after people provide bank statements and all requested information.
