I'm assuming you were leveraged to get 4x on BTC? If there are rate cuts in September I'm expecting another boost but otherwise nothing crazy (crazy meaning a full altseason not random coins going off for a few days). BTC I can see hitting a consistent range of $120-130k by EOD but not worth holding out for if you're already up 4x.

It's funny how XRP is the scam when they did all the heavy lifting for legal clarity regarding crypto. Bitcoin and Ethereum just got a free pass from prosecution from corrupt people in government, the very people who sprung the lawsuit on Ripple. Bitcoin maxis have some gull now that its above $100k, what happened to being the anti government coin? XRP at least never pretended or was never marketed as anything but a centralize banking coin.
The hypocrisy is crazy and the tribalism for maxis is such a joke (or completely funded propaganda). Largest owner of Bitcoin now is Blackrock... second to that is Microstrategy.. Bitcoin is already in the hands of centralized power, is up to them what the price of bitcoin will be moving forward. We don't care about the fundamentals really as long as the price is up right?
XRP is exit liquidity lol just Sunday an ancient wallet sold $2.5 Billion dollars worth of Bitcoin on the open market, pure market manipulation, no coin is safe from 'jeets' - BTC maxis happy they have Big Banks and Hedge Funds buying up that dump now?
We all just here for profits, anyone who says otherwise is just a shameless shill. If you couldn't profit off Bitcoin, Ethereum, or XRP so far and now you hate one or the other that's a you problem.

Kraken has been selected by the U.S. Department of Commerce to facilitate a groundbreaking initiative [unveiled this morning](https://www.commerce.gov/news/press-releases/2025/08/department-commerce-posts-2nd-quarter-gross-domestic-product-blockchain) by President Donald Trump and Secretary Howard Lutnick. The initiative, which will distribute U.S. gross domestic product (GDP) data on nine major public blockchains, marks a milestone in the use of blockchain technology to enhance transparency in economic data.
As part of this historic effort, Kraken has onboarded the Department of Commerce as a client and helped the department procure cryptocurrencies — including Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), Avalanche (AVAX), Stellar (XLM), Polygon (POL) and Tron (TRX) — to pay for the transaction fees required for publishing cryptographic proofs of GDP data.
By recording hashes of this critical economic information onchain, the Department of Commerce is ensuring that U.S. GDP data is verifiable, tamper-resistant and globally accessible. This sets a new standard for transparency in government reporting.
“This is a landmark moment for both our industry and our country,” said Arjun Sethi, Kraken co-CEO. “We commend President Trump and Secretary Lutnick for their vision in bringing this initiative to life, and we are honored to play a role in its execution. By harnessing blockchain technology to distribute GDP data, the U.S. is setting a global example of how transparency, trust and innovation can come together to drive progress.”
“Today’s announcement is a powerful example of how government and industry can work together to advance innovation across the global economy,” said Jonathan Jacyhm, Kraken Global Head of Policy and Government Relations. “The message is clear: Blockchain technology is not just the future of financial infrastructure, it is now becoming the present.”
The initiative reflects the Trump Administration’s broader commitment to integrating blockchain technology into critical government functions, reinforcing the United States position as a global leader in digital innovation. It also marks a milestone for a G7 economy using public blockchains to disseminate official economic statistics.
Kraken remains committed to providing secure, reliable and efficient services to support the Department of Commerce in this project and any future initiatives.

There are 1 million ETH in the exit queue: [https://www.validatorqueue.com/](https://www.validatorqueue.com/)
I don't know why everyone is so eager to sell. Sure, they probably have made a 2x over the last years (or much more if they held for 7+ years), but it would be way smarter to sell only when accumulation starts to decrease.
I'm not really into BTC, but I have the feeling that the HODL thinking is much more apparent there (almost cult-like) than with ETH. And that does drive the price up.

Looks like a Model S, the expensive one. People like to show off their fancy cars. I'd like to see some data backing up your claim about BTC license plates only being on Teslas. I've seen more on Porsche locally tbh, so you are kinda off.

I bought BTC at nearly 20k. It went down to under 5k. I bought BTC at over 50k. It went down to 15k. Buying at 120k isn't a big deal if you used long-term funds, have diversified investments, and plan to DCA more into BTC over many years. Buying at 120k could be a terrible (or perhaps not) decision if your goal is to sell BTC in a month, a year, or possibly even 3.
If you think, like I do, that BTC will outperform other investments in the long-term, then DCAing into BTC regularly is a good strategy. I have not DCA'd recently, but that is largely as I am overexposed to BTC and crypto (though 75% or so of my crypto is BTC). So for me, I am just taking profits for now, but when my exposure to crypto is within my risk tolerance, I will DCA and buy again.
Importantly, I have to balance my expectation that BTC will outperform with my tolerance for risk. As a financially independent guy in his early 40s, I can't afford to massive losses as that will threaten my financial independence. If I was say 25, my risk tolerance would be higher and I would be fine with even higher exposure to BTC/crypto. But if I were just entering the crypto space, I would buy today and keep DCAing in until my exposure to crypto was in line with my expectations for crypto and my tolerance for risk.

Got it.
Just realize that no matter what you do, your parents will see the transactions. It’s best to respect their wishes. I don’t agree with their approach here cause it’s basically teaching you not to save and just blow your money to get more. Honestly, they might not have the $20/week to give you and this is their was of still giving you money while limiting the amount and saving their pride.
If you buy BTC with your account, the withdraws from the exchange will show up and they will see it.
If you have a want/need for a laptop… maybe put together a business plan and present your plan to them. Talk about the savings schedule of $20/week and how many weeks to get it… talk about the uses for the laptop… things like that.
I’m sorry you are in a tough situation. I wish you the best.

We can look at the early BTC ETF volumes and treasury buys from $MSTR to get an idea on how price moves. It's a slow rise up with massive bull days that see 5-10%.
We can look at the charts right now to see how well ETH has performed. Remember daily moves mean nothing when you zoom out.
1 week chart: BTC +0.5%, ETH +5.61%
1 month chart: BTC -4.81%, ETH +18.12%
Time will surely reward us because the data right now is too bullish to just doubt. Patience wins the race here.
