This is the next logical iteration of an earlier technical deep dive into TEEs where Oasis director, Jernej Kos, had identified and explained how [remote attestation](https://oasisprotocol.org/blog/tees-remote-attestation-process) and reproducible build are essential ingredients for the hardware-based system.
This post and the related blog beautifully explain how attestation and trust are not synonymous or interchangeable terms. Not all TEEs are indeed "verified", and Oasis, with its BFT consensus model, is well-placed to serve as a prime example of ensuring verifiability of on-chain TEEs.
Will be looking forward to learn how the off-chain angle fits here, as they promised it will be detailed in part two, with Oasis ROFL being defined as the next level of a decentralized TEE cloud.
