It’s a long term trade.
I’ve been in crypto since 2016 and i had moderate positions that massively multibagged. In 2017 I cashed out and bought a house. (I was invested in Neo in 2016, “the Chinese Ethereum” back when it was Antshares).
In 2021, I cashed out and bought another house. Bought cardano at $.33 and sold at $2.15.
I’ll cash out after this next bull run and buy another house or two.
This is what I do with crypto. I nibble away, and eventually when the bull market takes off, I just sell and massively increase my wealth through real estate. I don’t know when the next bull market will come, I can’t tell you which coin will be the best one to buy, but I LOVE where cardano is positioned and their future trajectory as a long term hold. I feel very comfortable holding Cardano, which is why I never purchased Neo again after I sold it in 2017. I hopped over to Cardano.
I just nibble consistently, and when the bull market comes, I make a bunch of money.
As you can see, I didn’t even ride cardano up, I sold fairly early at $2.15 and I didn’t even care as I watched it go to $3+ because I made enough money to buy a house.
Next bull run, I’ll buy my 4th house, and hopefully my 5th house at the same time.
I don’t know what crypto is to me, I just know it’s the future and in 100 years it’ll be the backbone of society. This is a new asset class, and I’m going to retire early because of this new asset class. In 20 years people will look back on crypto and say “wow… why wasn’t I buyin alt coins in 2025…. Look how cheap they were….”
I know real estate and it’s a world I feel more comfortable navigating and parking my assets in. I just feel very confident in the fact that crypto is a volatile asset that has extreme potential to multibag, and it’s a risk in a speculative market that I want to be involved in. When my kids grow up, they will be able to say “my dad got rich in crypto back in 2016…. He was there super early.”
My advice: Buy BTC, ETH, XRP, ADA, and chill. For simplicity, I’m 100% in cardano and I love what cardano is doing. Charles was right about staking. Charles is playing 4D chess in a world where people are still playing 2D chess.
Sorry for the rant, I’ve been in equity markets since I was a kid, and a new asset class like this doesn’t come around often. This is history getting made before our very eyes. Be patient.

Honestly me, personally, i dont know should i sell or hodl like i did for the past 3 years. Im big on ADA, i've got a feeling that when altcoins bleed ADA bleeds the most. QE still not close, liquidity not coming anytime soon. We will see.

We might not get an altseason, or it might detach from the 4 year cycle, but we’ll see high prices again.
The only people panicking are those who cycling down profits to smaller caps and memes to catch biggers Xs when the pumped. They’re fucked as alot of small caps might not sustain the wait.
If you’re holding grade A tokens like BTC, ETH, SOL, LINK, ADA, QNT, AVAX, POL then just hold.
If you cant hold cos you needed the money by now then your own fault.
Here’s a low cap Gem if you did want in on a huge utility low cap launching its product tomorrow and partnered with a US hedge fund. Eagle AI Labs.
Someone remind me of this post in 12 months. You’re welcome.

Cycle survivors (dinos that stick around like ADA/XRP):
* **ETH** — L2 king, ETFs, DeFi backbone. Immortal.
* **SOL** — Speed + memes + adoption, too big to fade.
* **XRP** — Banks/utility + reg wins, eternal zombie.
* **ADA** — Research vibe + upgrades, slow but survives bears.
* **LINK** — Oracles needed forever, no competition kills it.
* **BNB** — Binance empire fuel, burns + utility = longevity.
Most memes/new L1s ghost, but these have real ecosystems/moats. 90% alts die anyway, stick to top 20.

Nailed it. The only reason ETH, SOL, and ADA are so dominant is network effect, and people pumping their bags.
If more people actually moved towards the next-gen chains, the market would be better for us all.
As it is, people see tech that barely works and hasn't been validated. Even though there's reliable and cheap tech that has actually solved these issues.

Honestly, I think the more institutions tout it will get to 200+ the more I am betting the other way. 95% of my bags are XMR and the XMRBTC is looking lovely since more than a year, while everything bleeds, did 3x just in a year with it, so I would not mind the 30k btc as then people would realize an actual coin that BTC wanted to be (but could not, due to being completely transparent and slow as fu\*k), if BTC drops that much, all the shitcoins next to it will evaporate also. ADA, ETH, everything.
What I am trying to say is we prtty much maxed out BTC's potential, there is literally no more chance for money to flow in...oh and would love to see TETHER and MSTR belly up as a sideeffect of 30-40k. A reset cannot come soon enough as we have steered way off the original itnended path of "crypto". How can it be useful if all chains of the 2 million existing cryptos are transparent and regulated, what Satoshi tried to get away from? Lol...

Most will obviously not recover and fade away every cycle but some dino coins like ADA, XRP etc are still here after quite some time. Which ones do you think will last this time?

Why do you use AI to write this? 👎🏾
And why did you make the ADA logo in BTC-ish color? It’s supposed to be blue.

The future of these "old-guard" coins like ADA, VET, LINK, LTC, and DOT is determined by whether their continued development and real-world utility can outweigh the market's current hype cycle, which often favors newer narratives. Projects like LINK and DOT are showing strong fundamentals with major infrastructure upgrades (CCIP and Polkadot 2.0/JAM Protocol) and aggressive institutional focus (LINK's RWA data streams, DOT's supply cap), positioning them to remain highly relevant in the Web3 ecosystem despite price volatility.

Coins like ADA and VET had strong narratives early, but the market rewards **real utility and adoption**. Some will evolve, some won’t, same as old tech in any industry. Meanwhile, Bitcoin’s momentum and protocols that add *yield + utility* (like Money Protocol and Intrinsic) are gaining traction because they solve real problems rather than just promise them.
