Nordstrom To Hire 800 Positions In Seattle Area For The Holiday Season

Hiring day takes place in stores on October 30

Leading fashion retailer Nordstrom, Inc. is hosting a hiring day to fill 800 roles in its Seattle area Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack stores for the holiday season. With the increase ofWHAT: customers shopping online, this year 70 percent of open roles are in-stores helping fulfill customer orders with additional openings in sales and support roles. During the holiday season, employees are eligible for pay premiums between Oct. 11 to Jan. 2.

These include:

. Holiday Hourly Premium: All current and seasonally hired hourly employees in nearly every aspect of our stores ? from service experience and Nordstrom Rack floor team to order fulfillment ? will receive a holiday premium of $2/hour. Numerous management roles will receive a $250 bonus each pay period.

. Overnight Hourly Premium: All current and seasonally-hired hourly, non-commissioned roles will receive up to $2/hour more for hours worked from 8 p.m. ? 8 a.m. Certain manager roles working these shifts will receive $400 each pay period.

Nordstrom offers competitive pay, a merchandise discount of 20 percent and opportunities for permanent employment once the season has ended that could include benefits such as medical coverage, employer-matched retirement plan and much more.
