Apparel manufacturer, Levi Strauss & Co. (LEVI), is trading 12% higher on higher than estimated income in the fourth quarter of 2021. The San Francisco-based company also provided a strong outlook for the following year.

12:18 Thursday, January 27, 2022 (RTTNews.com) - Apparel manufacturer, Levi Strauss & Co. (LEVI), is trading 12% higher on higher than estimated income in the fourth quarter of 2021. The San Francisco-based company also provided a strong outlook for the following year.

Net income reported by the company was $153 million or $0.37 per share, up from $81 million or $0.20 per share last year. On an adjusted basis, the income was $170 million or $0.41 per share. Nine analysts polled by Thomson Reuters estimated the earnings to be $0.40 for the quarter.

Looking forward, the company expects revenue of $6.4 billion and $6.5 billion with adjusted earnings of $1.50 to $1.56 per share. Analyst estimates for revenue was $6.37 billion with $1.52 earnings per share.
