Shares of minerals company Compass Minerals International, Inc. (CMP) are rising 7 percent on Thursday's trading following news that the company will replace Great Western Bancorp Inc. (GWB) in the S&P SmallCap 600 effective prior to the opening of trading on Tuesday, February 1.

10:32 Thursday, January 27, 2022 (RTTNews.com) - Shares of minerals company Compass Minerals International, Inc. (CMP) are rising 7 percent on Thursday's trading following news that the company will replace Great Western Bancorp Inc. (GWB) in the S&P SmallCap 600 effective prior to the opening of trading on Tuesday, February 1.

Meanwhile, Euronet Worldwide Inc. (EEFT) will replace Compass Minerals in the S&P MidCap 400. Thus, Compass Minerals is no longer representative of the mid-cap market space.

Currently at $55.04, the stock has traded between $47.10 and $75.44 during the past 52 weeks.
