03:44 Monday, January 3, 2022 (RTTNews.com) - Elbit Systems Ltd. (ESLT), an Israeli defense electronics company, said on Monday that its arm Elbit Systems Emirates Limited has bagged around $53 million worth contract from the United Arab Emirates or UAE Air Force.

The deal is to supply direct infrared countermeasures and airborne electronic warfare systems, for the Airbus A330 Multi-Role Tanker Transport aircraft, for a period of five years.

The UAE-based Elbit's system will deliver a multi-turret configuration of the J-MUSIC self-protection system together with its infra-red-based passive airborne warning system, to provide high level of protection and redundancy to the air force.
