American Water Makes $45 Million Donation to the American Water Charitable Foundation

CAMDEN, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 06, 2022--American Water Works Company, Inc. (NYSE: AWK), the largest publicly traded U.S. water and wastewater utility company, today announced that it contributed $45 million to the American Water Charitable Foundation ("Foundation"), a 501(c)(3) private foundation established by American Water in 2010. The contribution, which will significantly add to the Foundation's existing endowment, was made possible by the proceeds from the recent sale of American Water's Homeowner Services Group.
