Idaho-based grocery chain Albertsons Companies, Inc. (ACI) is trading 7% lower on the market after the company announced that the rise of the omicron strain has again hampered its supply chain.

13:39 Tuesday, January 11, 2022 (RTTNews.com) - Idaho-based grocery chain Albertsons Companies, Inc. (ACI) is trading 7% lower on the market after the company announced that the rise of the omicron strain has again hampered its supply chain.

CEO of the company, Vivek Sankaran, said during the earnings call for the third quarter results, "There are more supply challenges, and we would expect more supply challenges over the next four to six weeks."

The stock is currently trading at $29.11, down $2.79 or 8.75% since the previous close at $31.90. In the morning, the stock opened at $31.58 and in the 52-week period, the stock has ranged between $15.97 and $37.85 per share.
