Shares of synthetic biology company Codex DNA Inc. (DNAY) are rising 12 percent on Thursday's trading after the company announced that it has entered into a research collaboration and license agreement with pharmaceutical company Pfizer Inc.(PFE).

12:14 Thursday, December 30, 2021 (RTTNews.com) - Shares of synthetic biology company Codex DNA Inc. (DNAY) are rising 12 percent on Thursday's trading after the company announced that it has entered into a research collaboration and license agreement with pharmaceutical company Pfizer Inc.(PFE).

Under the terms of the deal, the two companies will work together to further develop Codex DNA's BioXP, which is a fully automated gene synthesis platform. Once further developed, BioXP will be utilized to manufacture materials that can potentially be used by Pfizer in its products.

Currently at $10.61, the stock has traded between $6.16 and $25.70 during the past 52 weeks.
