California-based EV charging solution provider ChargePoint Holdings, Inc. (CHPT) saw its stock drop nearly 9% in morning trade after the company reported a wider net loss in the third quarter.

10:15 Wednesday, December 8, 2021 (RTTNews.com) - California-based EV charging solution provider ChargePoint Holdings, Inc. (CHPT) saw its stock drop nearly 9% in morning trade after the company reported a wider net loss in the third quarter.

ChargePoint reported a wider loss of $69.44 million or $0.21 loss per share compared to $46.60 million or $3.11 loss per share in the same quarter last year.

On an adjusted measure, the loss was $47.02 million, up from $32.60 million last year. On average, 11 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the loss to be $0.13 per share. The stock is currently trading at $19.85, down $1.93 or 8.86% since the previous close at $21.78. The stock opened at $20.75 in the morning. In the 52-week period, the shares have ranged between $17.60 and $49.48.
