Tessco Provides Update To SaaS Platform

- Helps customers monetize device monitoring and management

- Device library supports BDAs from industry leaders such as Comba and Westell

- Tessco signs deal with Communications Electronics to deploy the platform for public safety deployment

TESSCO Technologies Incorporated (NASDAQ:TESS), a leading value-added distributor to the wireless infrastructure construction industry, provided an update to its recently launched Device Lifecycle Management platform, a highly customizable, device-agnostic solution that provides remote end-to-end monitoring, alerting, and management of devices in a multi-vendor network. This is accomplished by offering a secure, web-based management portal that delivers a single pane of glass view, featuring automated and real-time data, measurement, insight, and configuration capabilities.

This new platform gives Tessco's channel customers a path to monetize device management and monitoring, enabling them to unlock and sell new service opportunities based on remote device monitoring, such as extended warranty tiers, service-level agreements (SLAs), and more efficient field operations.

"Tessco's Device Lifecycle Management enables customers to streamline, simplify, and easily control remotely connected devices through a cost-effective, flexible, and easy-to-navigate platform," said Kanti Chakrabarti, Director of Software at Tessco. "Our channel customers now have a vendor- and device-agnostic solution eliminating the need for fragmented device management systems, minimizing network downtime, and allowing them to monetize these services to their end users."

Tessco's Device Lifecycle Management launched with an extensive device library, including the newest addition of BDAs from leading manufacturers such as Comba and Westell to help bring monitoring to the public safety sector. Tessco is continuously onboarding devices into the library to provide customers with a wider offering, which will ultimately speed up their deployment process.

"While remote monitoring and management has been in existence for a long time for cellular DAS, it has not been widely available in other deployments. It is exciting to see that Tessco is now making it possible for remote monitoring and management of public safety in-building Emergency Responder Radio Communications Systems (ERRCS) through their Device Lifecycle Management offering," said Don Henry, Vice President of Sales and Program Manager for Public Safety at Comba Telecom. "We are extremely proud that Tessco chose to support Comba's Critical Point line of BDAs and fiber DAS as part of the initial launch of their Device Lifecycle Management platform. Comba has worked with Tessco throughout the development of the platform, and we believe that AHJs and network license holders will quickly see the benefits of Tessco's solution offering."

"Tessco's Device Lifecycle Management solution will be a great addition to Westell's public safety BDA installations, offering real-time monitoring of installations and immediate notifications if issues occur," said Mike Brownson, Director, IBW Business Development at Westell Technologies. "The 24/7 connectivity and alerting functions will ensure that organizations can meet the stringent SLAs typical of life safety for in-building public safety wireless networks."

Tessco has recently reached an agreement with Communications Electronics to incorporate Device Lifecycle Management within their portfolio of solutions for upcoming DAS projects. Communications Electronics connects facilities and campuses with DAS solutions for both commercial and public safety networks and sees Device Lifecycle Management as an integral solution to help provide its customers with monitoring and alerting of remote devices.

"At Communications Electronics, we build and maintain networks for some of the largest public safety agencies, schools, hospitals, and enterprises across the Mid-Atlantic," said Michael Cassell, CTO at Communications Electronics. "Tessco's Device Lifecycle Management platform provides us with a state-of-the-art opportunity to monitor mission critical networks for our customers. The real-time data enables us to improve field operations and SLAs while better managing device firmware to ensure our customers are connected in the moments that matter."
