Diana Shipping To Acquire Japanese New-Building Capesize Vessel For $60.1M

* Diana Shipping Inc (NYSE:DSX) has signed a Memorandum of Agreement to acquire a Japanese new-building Capesize dry bulk vessel of ~181,500 dwt from an unaffiliated third party for a purchase gross price of $60.16 million.

* The company expects the vessel delivery by the end of 1Q22.

* Diana Shipping's fleet consists of 33 dry bulk vessels (4 Newcastlemax, 11 Capesize, 5 Post-Panamax, 5 Kamsarmax, and 8 Panamax).

* Price Action: DSX shares traded lower by 3.69% at $3.785 on the last check Friday.
