10:05 Friday, November 26, 2021 (RTTNews.com) - Shares of Uber Technologies, Inc. (UBER) are slipping over 6% on Friday morning as the ride-hailing service faces partial shutdown in Belgium after a court ruling.

UBER is currently trading at $39.41, down $2.67 or 6.35%, on the Nasdaq.

In Belgium, UberPop, a service which allowed private individuals to offer professional taxi services, had been banned back in 2015, however, on Wednesday the Brussels Appeal Court extended the ban to professional Uber drivers.

Uber said that it will study about the ruling and decide whether to appeal the decision with the country's Supreme Court.
