10:40 Thursday, November 18, 2021 (RTTNews.com) - Massachusetts-based Retail chain BJ's Wholesale Club Holdings, Inc. (BJ) saw its stock rise 13% higher in the Thursday market after the company reported better-than-expected earnings in the third quarter.

The net income reported by the company was $126.51 million or $0.92 earnings per share, compared to $122.79 million or $0.88 earnings per share in the same quarter last year. On an adjusted basis, the earnings were $125.93 million or $0.91 per share, compared to $128.48 million or $0.92 per share last term. On average, 20 analysts polled by Thompson Reuters estimated the company to report $0.80 earnings per share.

The stock is currently trading at $67.58, up $7.61 or 12.70% since the previous close at $59.97. The stock opened at $65.00 in the morning. In the 52-week period, the shares have ranged between $36.07 and $69.72 per share.
