11:00 Thursday, November 11, 2021 (RTTNews.com) - Shares of energy company Babcock & Wilcox Enterprises, Inc. (BW) are climbing 19 percent on Thursday's trading as the company posted lower third quarter profit, which however, came in above the Street estimates. Revenues also rose from last year.

The company posted third-quarter net income of $13.6 million or $0.11 per share, lower than $34.7 million or $0.69 per share in the same period last year.

On average, 4 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to post earnings of $0.02 per share in the quarter.

During the three-month period, revenues rose to $160 million from $132.5 million a year ago.

Currently at $8.77, the stock has traded between $2.55 and $9.90 during the past 52 weeks.
