Shares of homebuilder Beazer Homes USA, Inc. (BZH) are rising more than 15% Thursday morning after reporting better-than-expected fourth-quarter earnings. The company also provided FY22 earnings outlook, higher than analysts' view.

10:19 Thursday, November 11, 2021 (RTTNews.com) - Shares of homebuilder Beazer Homes USA, Inc. (BZH) are rising more than 15% Thursday morning after reporting better-than-expected fourth-quarter earnings. The company also provided FY22 earnings outlook, higher than analysts' view.

Beazer Homes reported net income from continuing operations of $48.4 million, or $1.57 per share, higher than $24.6 million, or $0.82 per share, in the same quarter a year ago. Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report earnings of $0.82 per share.

Homebuilding revenue, however, declined to $589.1 million from $679.1 million last year, impacted by lower home closings. The consensus estimate was for $590.94 million.

Looking forward to the full-year 2022, the company sees EPS of $5. Analysts expect earnings of $3.48 per share for the period.

BZH is at $21.64 currently. It has traded in the range of $12.74- $26.12 in the last 52 weeks.
